5 Life Lessons and Moral Value In "The Conjuring 2 (2016)" (Spoilers Alert!)

Movie quote from The Conjuring 2 (2016): "After everything we've seen, there isn't anything much that rattles either of us anymore, but this one, this one still haunts me." - Lorraine Warren.

1) Knowing the demon's name when you're trying to cast it out of a possessed person gives you dominion over it.
You can ask it to reveal its name. Demons are prideful spirits so they will do so most of the time.
Picture
While she was sleeping, Lorraine Warren dreamt about the demonic spirit, Valak, which manifested in the form of a nun. When she asked Valak for its name in the dream, in the physical world, she carved out the letters that spelt its name in her Bible.

2) Trying to communicate with the dead or with spirits is opening a portal for demons to attack you. Absolutely avoid such practices at all costs!
Picture
By playing with and using the spirit board, Janet Hodgson unknowingly invited the demonic spirits of William "Bill" Wilkins and Valak to attack and possess her, wrecking havoc in the Hodgson family.

3) All it takes is one person to change your life, and God can send that person to you. If you meet someone who trusts in you, marry him/her ;)
Picture
In a scene at the swing, Lorraine Warren shared with Janet Hodgson that she never fit in since she was young because she was different (she had clairvoyant ability), until she met Ed, who trusted in her, and that one person can change one's life. She said, "You know what I did? I married him.". Later, when Ed was fixing the tap in the kitchen, he shares the same thing with Janet, who finishes his line before he could.

4) Demons gain power over their possessed victim by causing them to feel outcast, rejected, isolated and alone.
Picture
The demonic oppression that was happening in Janet Hodgson's life caused her to be outcast by her peers in school who were afraid of her. Lorraine Warren told Janet that that was exactly what the demonic spirit wanted because that's how it gains power.

5) Sometimes God can give you premonitions in the form of dreams and/or visions to warn you in advance of disasters that lie ahead, so that you can avoid them.
Picture
Lorraine Warren received both a vision and a dream, and both of them showed the demonic spirit Valak causing Ed Warren's death by impalement by a sharp piece of wood. After sharing her vision with Ed, Ed assures her that it could be God sending her the vision to warn her in advance to give her the opportunity to prevent Ed's death and save his life.

19 June 2016 -  Be Well-Supplied At God's Great Supper - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Fathers tend to blame and condemn themselves when things go wrong at home. They think they have to bear all the burden on their own.
If you are a father, you don't have to do that because there is One higher than you - the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rest in Him and relax in order to possess your possessions!

God's anointing is not limited by distance. The anointing is strongest where there is faith.
If you have faith, you will receive it.

What fathers say to their children have the most weight on them, as compared to what their friends say to them.
Don't underestimate the power in your words.

Bring your children to church. Don't worry about them turning rebellious or disliking you. They already are.
They are able to sense the presence of God during church.

You never hit a child in the face. You hit him/her in the seat of learning (the buttocks). You don't leave a mark.
If you discipline your child right, they will become so loving.
If you are a father, don't let your children run the house. Take back control!
Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it.
Feed your child with the word of God and he will not depart from it.

When you condemn yourself, nothing that you do that is right will work, because your motivation is wrong.
We pray from victory, not for victory!
We have already been healed, we are not praying to become healed. We are declaring what God says we are!

Spend time with God and ask Him what you need. Don't look for generic formulas apart from the Lord. God will teach you based on your own band, your own style, etc.

The Lord left our flesh with us as not born again as a reminder that in and of ourselves, no good thing exists.
We are still as dependent on Him now as when before we were born again.

Luke 14:25-27 - The great multitudes were following Jesus to learn from Him. Jesus means that we cannot place anything above Him if we want to follow Him, and not that we must hate our family members.
We have to acknowledge Jesus as Savior before we acknowledge Him as Teacher.

Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭14:25-27‬ ‭NKJV‬)

Luke 15:1-4 - Jesus is at home with the sinners because they see Him as Savior. His floodgates of compassion opened up.

“Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” So He spoke this parable to them, saying: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:1-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Picture
Jesus is at home with the sinners because they see Him as Savior.

The Luke 15 parables (Parable of the Lost Sheep, Parable of the Lost Coin, and the Parable of the Lost Son) show Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our Heavenly Father finding joy in pursuing and saving the lost.
What is God's reason for saving you? God finds joy in saving you!

The Law demands, Grace imparts. Under the Law, we have to love God with all our heart, all our mind and all our strength. Under grace, God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son.

You don't have to understand something in order to enjoy it.
If you don't understand anything, just know one thing: God is good and God is love.

Luke 14:16-24 - If God gives a feast, what a feast it will be! The greatness of the supper is based on its cost.
When you're invited for a supper, do you pay for it? No it is given to you.
When we go to the great supper, do we go there bringing something? No, it is already all prepared. We go there to find and to receive, not to give!
The servant in this parable is the Holy Spirit.
All things are now ready - your provision, wisdom, salvation etc are ready!
The three men who were invited were giving excuses.
There is no rush or hastiness about Jesus. He is slow but always on time.
The only time Jesus asks you to make haste is when you are lost.
The quality of the Man who died for us enables everyone to be able to receive salvation, and still have room for more salvations.
Who does God invite? The poor, the lame, the maimed and the blind.
We are all sweetly compelled to be saved and to eat at God's great supper.

“Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ”” ‭(‭Luke‬ ‭14:16-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

When you come to God in pretense, you will not get a response. But when you are real with Him, He will help you.

Can God hear your prayers when you speak softly? Yes! He lives inside you.
Hannah prayed with no vocal voice - only her lips were moving, and she received Samuel, her miracle boy.

“So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” (I Samuel 1:9-18 NKJV)

The Sermon on the Mount is the constitution of the kingdom of heaven. It will be instituted when Jesus comes again.

When we go to the great supper, do we go there bringing something? No, it is already all prepared. We go there to find and to receive, not to give!

Mark 7:25-30 - We are no longer Gentiles under the table. We are seated at the table.

“For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.” (Mark‬ ‭7:25-30‬ ‭NKJV‬)

II Samuel 9:3-7 - David represents God. The first natural response of a sinner to God is fear. What they don't understand is God's love.
That's why the heavenly messengers always say "Do not fear".
When you get saved, you don't have to be perfect. Just keep eating God's spiritual food.
It is the goodness of God that leads to our repentance towards God.

“Then the king said, “ Is there not still have someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.” So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.” Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar. Now when Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, had come to David, he fell on his face and prostrated himself. Then David said, “Mephibosheth?” And he answered, “Here is your servant!” So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.”” ‭‭(II Samuel‬ ‭9:3-7‬ ‭NKJV‬)

John 12:41 - This is a reference to Isaiah 6:1-3 where Isaiah saw the pre-incarnate Jesus.

“These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Isaiah 6:1-3 - The Lord that Isaiah saw is the pre-incarnate Jesus.

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭6:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Acts 13:38-39 - God's righteousness is greater than your sin. Know that and it will swallow up your sin.
Forgiveness of sins and justification is immediate, is perfect, and lasts forever.

“Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts‬ ‭13:38-39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

When we accept God's salvation and come to God, it's not for God's benefit, it's for your benefit.

I Corinthians 1:30 - Come to the great supper and eat. Jesus is your wisdom, righteousness, holiness and redemption!

“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—”‭‭ (I Corinthians‬ ‭1:30‬ ‭NKJV)

26 June 2016 - Find Your Position to Possess Your Possessions - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Sunday is the Lord's Day. Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to His disciples on a Sunday.
On a Sunday, Jesus expounded from the Scriptures about the things concerning Himself to the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus.
On Sundays, we have to hear something about Christ. That's the solution to our foolishness and slowness of heart to believe.
Statistics have shown that people who go to church on Sundays live longer!

Don't allow negative news to come into your spirit. Don't waste time reading or watching negative news.
For every interview with an opinion given, there is always an opposing view to it.

Psalms 91 in the Bible is a psalm that promises God's all-encompassing protection.
God's name is mentioned 5 times - the number of grace.
There are 3 mentions of habitation in Psalms 91.

Psalms 91:1 - "Dwells" is "yashav" which means to sit down.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1 NKJV)

Psalms 91:9-11 - "Dwelling place" in Hebrew is "maon" which means a place of safety.
In the Hebrew, the word "plague" is the word for "stroke". No stroke will come near your dwelling.

“Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” (Psalms 91:9-11 NKJV)

Psalms 91:16 - "Salvation" is "Yeshua" which is the name of Jesus. We can ask God for long life. It is not to satisfy God, but to satisfy us!

With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”” (Psalms 91:16 NKJV)

If you find your position, you will find your possession. Position before possession.

Living under the Law is based on human efforts. Grace is based on God's promises.

The food on this earth is fallen food. The earth is under the curse. Bless your food before you eat - Therein lies the blessing.

If you do things by the flesh, you may get immediate results but it is limited and confined.
If you wait on the Lord, it may take longer, but it will be much greater in quality, according to the limitless supply of the Spirit.

Colossians 2:10 - We lack for nothing. We are complete in Him now. Our understanding is always playing catch up with God's truths.
We are already placed at the finish-line at the beginning of our journey as a believer.

“and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:10 NKJV)

When we take holy communion to receive healing, we must partake in the position of rest, declaring our faith that we are already healing, and not in the position of trying to be healed.
To be healed, we must go into deeper rest in Christ, rather than trying harder to be healed which produces stress.

Deuteronomy 28:1-3 - We are set far above all powers and principalities. Christianity begins with DONE, not DO.
We walk not to be complete, but we walk in completion. We come with a sense of fullness, not of emptiness.
God wants us to feel secure, deeply loved, liberally supplied, highly favored and greatly blessed.
A favorite tactic of the devil today is to create a sense of insecurity, that anything bad can happen to you at any moment.

““Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-3 NKJV)

Ephesians 2:4-7 - In God's viewpoint, we are now seated in heaven with Christ. Compared to God's viewpoint we cannot understand many things. We have to take God's word by faith.
Faith is not blind, faith is intelligent. Faith is based on superior authority, reality, wisdom and intelligence beyond us.
If we trust God's intelligence, we got to trust His word and go by faith.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-7 NKJV)

Psalms 92:13 - If you try to obtain something through striving and through your fleshly efforts, it is form of unbelief.
However, if you rest, you are honouring God, showing that you trust Him.

Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalms 92:13 NKJV)

Luke 4:3-13 - The constant theme of the devil is to leave out the word "beloved". It is counterproductive for the devil to remind Jesus that He is loved by God.
Jesus never fought the devil with the spoken word of God, but through the written word of God. To defeat Satan, quote "It is written..."

“And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ” Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.” (Luke 4:3-13 NKJV)

Faith is not blind, faith is intelligent. Faith is based on superior authority, reality, wisdom and intelligence beyond us. If we trust God's intelligence, we got to trust His word and go by faith.

Don't go by your feelings, go by the word of God. Your feelings can go up and down, but God's word never changes.
Don't fly by the seat of your pants. Trust your instrument - the word of God, not your feelings - Especially when there is darkness all around.

You don't have to pray loud or soft - you just pray. Know that you have influence with God who loves you. Know that you are close with God.
Don't rush to start praying for someone - spend a few moments before praying to sense and remind yourself that you are loved and close to God.

Carnal Christians pray from earth to heaven, but we should be praying from heaven, downwards to earth.

There is no natural light in the Holy of Holies. All the light in there is the Shekinah glory which is brighter than the sun.
Don't depend on the natural light taught by science. Go into the Holy of Holies and see God's Shekinah glory.

There is no death for a Christian. To die is gain. The first thing when a Christian steps out of his/her body after bodily death is to feel perfect happiness and freedom!

The Bible says that we as believers will be persecuted for Jesus' name's sake. How should we respond? Rejoice! For great is our reward in heaven!

Acts 22:25-29 - Paul eventually learnt how to use his citizenship as a Roman citizen to avoid harm.
The lesson is this: If you don't open your mouth, you will suffer. Learn to use your citizenship of heaven.

"And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?” When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, “Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.” Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?”
He said, “Yes.” The commander answered, “With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.” And Paul said, “But I was born a citizen.” Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him." (Acts 22:25-29 NKJV)

Philippians 1:21-25 - Paul could decide when to die. Paul is talking like he's got power over death.

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,” (Philippians 1:21-25 NKJV)

When a believer is in a comatose state and they see heaven, earth pales to them, and they may choose to move on. It's up to them to decide.
When a believer dies, we shouldn't pity them. They are in a better place and state that before! We are weeping for our own loss and not for them.

Matthew 7:13-14 - Jesus said that narrow is the way to life in the present tense because at that time there was only Him and the few disciples.
In the end-times, the gospel will make inroads and there will be a lot of believers!

““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV)

II Timothy 4:6-7 - Paul had already completed what he needed to do.
His body was too full of resurrection life to die of sickness and disease, so much that the fastest way for him to take off was to smile at the guy at the chopping block and say "Jesus loves you".

“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (II Timothy 4:6-7 NKJV)

Picture
There is no death for a Christian. To die is gain. The first thing when a Christian steps out of his/her body after bodily death is to feel perfect happiness and freedom!

Psalms 90:9-11 - We are no longer under God's wrath. God's wrath was all poured out on Jesus at the cross.

“For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.” (Psalms 90:9-11 NKJV)

Genesis 6:3 - 120 years is God's statement of judgement. We can live much longer now that we are in Christ.
Such statements bring about revelations that extends your faith and causes you to reach out for more of God's promises.

“And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”” (Genesis 6:3 NKJV)

Hebrews 1:10-12 - This is talking about Jesus. Jesus will never grow old.

“And: “You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.”” (Hebrews 1:10-12 NKJV)

Psalms 102:24-25 - You can pray for long life.

“I said, “O my God, Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are throughout all generations. Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.” (Psalms 102:24-25 NKJV)

The name Goliath means "to strip (naked)". The devil wants to strip is to make us feel uncovered, naked and insecure.
A preacher who leaves the congregation feeling that they are loved defeats the enemy.

Psalms 92:13-15 - The age can be old, but it doesn't mean that the person has to be old.
The word "fresh" means full of sap in the Hebrew. And "flourishing" means green leaf in the Hebrew.
We are young! Even God the Father is young. No one is old in heaven. One day in heaven we will know that it is not God's plan for man to grow old.

“Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” (Psalms 92:13-15 NKJV)

Jesus died young at 33 years old, that we might live long. Jesus died as if unprotected, so that we would be perpetually protected.
Jesus cried "My God, My God..." so that we can cry "My Father, My Father...".
Jesus cried out "Why have you forsaken Me?" so that we can always have God's presence with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

3 July 2016 - Glorious Gospel of the Happy God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

The Lord has sanctified Sunday. The Lord Jesus honored this day by appearing to His disciples on a Sunday, and then appearing to them again on a Sunday.
Something is given and conferred when we come to the house of God on a Sunday.

Where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, there He is. The smallest majority is two. Jesus is so gracious.

I Timothy 1:11 - The word "blessed" here is "makarios" which means happy. Our God is a happy God!
The glorious gospel cannot help but manifest God's holiness.

“according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.” (I Timothy 1:11 NKJV)

It is not the 'message of grace' - it is the gospel of the grace of God.

When we are saved, there is no compromise on God's holiness.

Jesus Christ pre-existed with God, even before the foundation of the world.

People presume to judge the Bible, when actually the Bible judges them. The Bible is the infallible word of the Living God.
The Bible tells us that God loves us. Yes God demands righteousness from men because they are His children.
But God knew that if He placed the full demand on men, men would be unable to meet up with His standard of righteousness.

The greatest knowledge you can have on this side of heaven is the knowledge of God. This knowledge gives birth to all other knowledge.
Don't boast in your strength, riches, etc. Instead, boast in the knowledge of God.

Jesus knew the love of God. Jesus is the only One who fully knows God's level of righteousness and how great is our offence to God.
God's righteousness must be measured at His level - to hate is to kill, to lust is to commit adultery.
All of us have offended God. That is why Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so that men would come to the end of themselves and recognise their need for a Savior.

Trespass offering - if anyone commits a sin unknowingly, he still must bring a sin offering. Jesus is our Trespass Offering that paid for all of our sins, known and unknown.

Under the Law, every justice must be exacted, every demand must be met.

God is the Triune God. Jesus always existed with God, but when He came into the world, He confined Himself to time.
For our sins to be cleansed, we need Jesus to die for our sins.
Our blood cannot cut it because it is tainted blood. Only Jesus' blood is sinless blood.

Picture
The Lord has sanctified Sunday. The Lord Jesus honored this day by appearing to His disciples on a Sunday, and then appearing to them again on a Sunday. Something is given and conferred when we come to the house of God on a Sunday.

Galatians 3:13 - Why did Jesus die on the cross? God designed it such that anyone who dies on a tree is cursed.
By dying on the cross, Jesus redeemed us from EVERY curse - including ancestral curses, sickness and disease.

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),” (Galatians 3:13 NKJV)

Jesus came to earth to die on the cross to fully meet all the claims of divine holiness and righteousness for us all.

There is no time in heaven. God created time, but He is outside His creation of time.
When Jesus died on the cross, His blood could avail for every single human since Adam, and for every human who hasn't even been born yet, because He is God who exists outside of time.

People who believe in the "Big Bang Theory" cannot explain where the energy to cause the Big Bang came from.
Men professing to be wise make themselves out to be fools.

John 13:30-31 - It being night is prophetic. When Judas receive the piece of bread, darkness entered his heart.
At the cross, Jesus has FULLY met all the claims of holiness and righteousness in our lives.
Jesus' payment at the cross is an overpayment for us!
Jesus did not destroy the Law, He fulfilled the Law - we are not under the Law because Jesus fulfilled it.
We are no longer under that contractual agreement because what we owed is fully paid for already.

“Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night. So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him.” (John 13:30-31 NKJV)

The inheritance belongs to the Son, not to the servant.
The servant can only reveal the demands of the Father, whereas only the Son can make known the love nature and the heart of the Father.

John 1:16-17 - Some people try to tear asunder grace and truth, thinking that they are different, but they are the same thing.
We have received out of Jesus' FULLNESS, not His littleness.
The word "for" here is "anti", which means "in place of". We receive grace in place of grace. When one wave of grace is done, another wave of grace comes our way!
Don't worry about your faith. Look at our faith, and like a bird it flies away. Look at grace and God is here to stay.

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:16-17 NKJV)

Don't consider your 'friends' on social media who you don't even have a meal with as true friends.
Their opinion about you shouldn't matter. Don't lose your life because of technology.

Jesus did not destroy the Law, He fulfilled the Law - we are not under the Law because Jesus fulfilled it. We are no longer under that contractual agreement because what we owed is fully paid for already.

Luke 15:1-7 - Jesus came to save sinners. If a person does not admit to being a sinner, then Jesus cannot be Savior in that person's life.
Jesus came to be used. When people don't use Him, they will use their own strength, power, wisdom, occult power, etc.
Jesus loves it when men use Him. That's Jesus - it's different from men.
We didn't find Jesus - Jesus found us! He will find you! Jesus knows everything about you and yet He still loves you.
The shepherd goes after the lost sheep UNTIL he finds it. The shepherd represents Jesus. Jesus goes after you UNTIL He finds you! When He find you, He REJOICES - He doesn't scold or punish you.
It's not about behavior modification, it's about heart transformation.
How did the sheep repent? The sheep allowed itself to be loved. The sheep consented to be carried by the shepherd. That, to God, is repentance.
Repentance means to change your mind.

“Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” So He spoke this parable to them, saying: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” (Luke 15:1-7 NKJV)

Jesus doesn't just answer our prayers. He answers them exceedingly, abundantly and above ALL we can ask or think!

Regarding your life partner, God knows what you need, even anticipating your needs 10 years later.
God always blesses you with the right partner, and not with someone whom no one wants.

You can never out-give God.

How can spiritually-bankrupt man meet God's divine claims of holiness and righteousness?
That is why Jesus had to die on the cross to fully meet all those claims on our behalf!
Because Jesus' death was an overpayment for our sin debt, God's holiness now demands that WE MUST BE BLESSED!

To try to keep the Law when one is under Grace is like going out into the hot midday sun with a candle.

Luke 15:20-23 -
Your children will fail you at times. But when they return, they will realise the love you have for them, and love you like never before.
The son could not complete his prepared speech. The Father loved his son first. The father kept supplying his son without any placing demands on him.
He said "let us eat and be MERRY! (HAPPY)"
Let us celebrate in the house of God - God doesn't hold your faults against you!
Let us forget all naysayers and let's go get souls saved.

““And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;” (Luke 15:20-23 NKJV)

We must be able to detect and be sensitive to the stress and grief in your spouse's voice.

I Peter 5:7 - The word "casting" here means to throw.
The only other time this word was used in the New Testament is when the disciples threw their clothes onto the donkey for Jesus to sit on them (the clothes).
When you throw your cares onto Jesus, they are no longer with you. The burden is no longer on you.
The word "care" in the Greek means distracted. Care causes stress.

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (I Peter 5:7 NKJV)

The first place Jesus shed blood was in the Garden of Gethsemane where He sweat blood.
Adam was cursed to eat bread by the sweat of his face because he sinned - in other words, he was cursed to work hard for his supply.
What began in one garden, was finished in another garden.
Under extreme stress, the blood capillaries burst, causing Jesus to sweat blood. Jesus sweating blood has redeemed us from the curse of sweat! God wants us to have cool heads and cool bodies. (To be at rest and not stressed!)

10 July 2016 - Possess Your Victory Over The Enemy - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

We can't force people to be saved, but we can pray for them to be saved, and God will create such a situation where it is easy for them to receive Christ.
God made every one of us, so He knows exactly what will work for each individual person.

God gave the earth to Adam, but Adam unknowingly gave it away to the devil when he ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It was a man that gave the earth away, so it must be a Man who takes it back from the devil.
Jesus is that Man who took the earth back from the devil!

Whenever you go to share the gospel, know that the whole of heaven is backing you up.

Luke 10:19 - When you pray, pray in the name of Jesus - behind that name is all authority on heaven and on earth.
An analogy: The power and credibility of a cheque depends on who whose name it is endorsed with.

Jesus said that He gives us all authority over the dunamis (explosive power) of the devil.
Speak to your pimple, your sickness, your disease, etc, saying: "I curse you ____ to your roots in Jesus' name!"

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."" (Luke 10:19, NKJV)

The devil always wants to show the negative, because the negative perpetuates negativism. The media likes to spread negative news because negative news sells.

Proverbs 15:30 - Good report makes your bones fat. Bad report makes your bones shrink. Nowadays people have a problem with osteoporosis (a disease which causes brittle bones).
What better report is there than the gospel? Keep listening to the Good News - the word of God.

"The light of the rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat." (Proverbs 15:30, KJV)

In marriage you have big sex and outside of marriage you have small sex. That's the way it is. Hollywood won't present it to you that way.
What is done against God's way does not fulfill. When you do things God's way, it is always better.

The gospel is essentially this: God has made you righteous in Christ, not by your works but by what Jesus has done at the cross.
The truth about righteousness being a gift is being attacked today.

Jesus came to change our identity - we are not dirty rotten sinners anymore: we are the righteousness of God in Christ!

Speak to your pimple, your sickness, your disease, etc, saying: "I curse you ____ to your roots in Jesus' name!"

The antithesis to the gospel of grace is our works and self-efforts: essentially we are saying that we don't need Jesus if we depend on our works and self-efforts.

Are you listening to and hearing the word of God regularly? If you are afflicted with cancer, it doesn't stop attacking your body 24/7.
So why can't you use your iPhone, iPad or iPod to listen to the word of God 24/7 ?

Some of the principalities in this world are not demonic, but they are in the church.
They come in the form of people who come against grace, saying that this type of preaching produces licentiousness.

Saying holy holy holy doesn't make people holy. Preaching the gospel makes people holy by accident. It produces holiness as a fruit.

I Samuel 16:7 - It is wise for a woman to take care of her face. The word of God doesn't say that women cannot use makeup. How much makeup is acceptable? Well it depends on her face.
Use this wisdom as taught in the Bible - when you go for a job interview, dress well and look presentable since man looks on the outward appearance!
You can't force people to dress well. It comes by revelation.

"But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart." (I Samuel 16:7, NKJV)

Luke 4:25-30 - The two examples were given by Jesus about provision and healing. Both the widow and Naaman the Syrian were Gentiles, and this angered the Jews who heard Jesus say this.
Jesus is telling the Jews that they're not the only ones deserving of God's blessings. It is given to whoever looks to Jesus and believes in Him.

“But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian. So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.” (Luke 4:25-30 NKJV)

Galatians 3:1-13 - "Supplies" here mean CONSTANTLY supplying. God is constantly supplying the Spirit to you, and it doesn't run out.
The presence of occult or satanic items or symbols doesn't hinder God from supplying the Spirit to us.
When Peter preached to Cornelius and his household, there were most likely Roman emblems and symbols/statues related to the worship of Caesar in the house.
That did not stop Cornelius and his household from receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.
If we believe in what Abraham believed in, that we are made righteous by faith, we will get the results of Galatians 3:5.
The Law is holy, but it is rigid and inflexible. It cannot bend over to help you, if not it is no longer the Law.
On the other hand, Jesus is holy and He can help you.
If you want to be justified by the Law, you have to keep ALL the commandments - trying your best is not enough.
Once you place yourself under the Law, you are under the curse.

“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),” (Galatians 3:1-13 NKJV)

Picture
The Law is holy, but it is rigid and inflexible. It cannot bend over to help you, if not it is no longer the Law. On the other hand, Jesus is holy and He can help you. If you want to be justified by the Law, you have to keep ALL the commandments - trying your best is not enough. Once you place yourself under the Law, you are under the curse.

Romans 7:4-6 - You can't obey the Law for the purpose of sanctification (some people argue that they don't obey the Law for justification, but instead for sanctification).
Only when you're dead to the Law, then can you bear fruit to God. Christians can be under the curse when they take their position as being under the Law -
being under the curse is like putting your possessions into a bag of holes.

Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.”(Romans 7:4-6 NKJV)

Walk your way to better health this year.
Earlier this year, Pastor Prince received a word from God saying: "Tell my people to walk and they will get better and better (in terms of physical health)."

Learn to eat without the Law - Even without your mother's law of "Finish all your food and don't leave anything on the plate".
Some people feel guilty if they don't finish all the food on their plate.
They think thoughts like "Think about all the starving children in Yemen..."
God is big enough to take care of your wastage. We need to learn to follow the Spirit, not the Law.

Laws are needed to keep order in society, but it doesn't produce heart transformation.
When society falls into anarchy, it goes into chaos because people manifest what's in their hearts.
The Law only curbs their outsides. The gospel transforms from the inside.

Romans 4:1-5 - God justifies the UNGODLY. God is righteous in justifying the ungodly because of what Christ has done.
It is not the one who works but the one who believes that is justified and under grace.
This portion of scripture is talking about justification in God's eyes.

“What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,” (Romans 4:1-5 NKJV)

Romans 11:6 - Grace and works (the Law) are antithesis. If it's by works, then it is no longer grace.

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.” (Romans 11:6 NKJV)

James 2:14-26 - The portion in James that says "Faith without works in dead" is talking about justification in man's eyes, not about justification in God's eyes.
It is saying that if you are saved, you will eventually do things that will cause the world to say "wow, he/she is truly saved!"
When did Abraham believe God? It happened years before Isaac was even born! Abraham was made righteous by believing God before Isaac was even born, not by his works.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:14-26 NKJV)

Hebrews 11:7 - Noah is the first person recorded in the Bible who was made righteous through faith.

“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” (Hebrews 11:7 NKJV)

II Peter 2:5-6 - This is the eventual fate of the world. We believers are preachers of righteousness and we can go out there to share the gospel with the world and get them saved.

“and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;” (II Peter 2:5-6 NKJV)

17 July 2016 - Possess the Power to Prosper in All Things - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

You don't have to wait for someone to pray for you.
As the word goes forth during church service, always be ready to receive your healing! There is a special corporate anointing!

Luke 21:7-11 - "Nation will rise again nation" is ethnos against ethnos. "Ethnos" is the Greek word for "ethnic group".
Nowadays there are many conflicts between ethnic groups.
Great earthquakes are earthquakes that measure 6.0 or higher on the Richter scale. Nowadays there are such earthquakes every year.

“So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.” Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:7-11 NKJV)

Mark 13:1-2 - In AD 70, General Titus led the Roman Army to raze Jerusalem to the ground.
General Titus commanded his soldiers not to destroy the Temple, but as the soldiers fought, some of the torches of fire fell into the temple and the gold in between the cracks of the stones of the temple melted and started flowing down.
This caused the soldiers to ignore General Titus' command and throw down the stones of the temple to get the gold.
The son of the emperor of Rome said don't destroy the temple, whereas the Son of God (Jesus) said not one stone will be left on another.
Jesus' word always comes to pass. You can be sure that God's prophecies will come to pass.

"And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said unto him, Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, See these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." (Mark 13:1-2, NKJV)

In 1948, Israel came back as a nation after the "Six Day War". God was repeating history -
The walls of Jericho collapsed after the children of Israel marched around them for six days.

Titus 2:11-13 - Grace is a person. Grace has "appeared" which is "epiphano" and it means "becomes visible".
The correct posture of a believer: we don't look forward to death. We look forward to the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ!

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” (Titus 2:11-13 NKJV)

When you're believing the truth, the Spirit of Truth (the Holy Spirit) can attest to it.
But when you're believing a lie, the Holy Spirit cannot attest to that, and it will manifest in the form of problems in your life.

The words "Triune God" and "Trinity" are not found in the Bible.
But they are truths and these are terms to help to explain the Scriptures.
The word "Rapture" is not found in the Bible but it refers to the snatching away of believers to escape this world to be with Jesus.

The Rapture is different from the Second Coming of Christ.
In the Second Coming, Jesus will be coming back to judge this earth.
As believers we won't be judged as we have passed from judgment into life.
The Rapture is called a "mystery" because it was once hidden by God but now revealed by Him to His people.
We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a twinkling of an eye. It will happen so fast that no one will see it happen.

Science is behind the Bible. Archaeology is playing catch up with the Bible. It depends on how fast they uncover the truth.
Once upon a time Archaeologists didn't believe that the Hittites existed. Now they have found the proof of the Hittites civilization and that it may be even greater than ancient Egypt was.
Archaeologists also found the huge bones of Philistines.
They also found remains of a snake with legs (In the Garden of Eden, the serpent was cursed to crawl on its belly as a punishment for deceiving Adam and Eve into eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.)

God so loved the world that He sent His Son Jesus to bear our judgement, and all our sins have been punished in Jesus' body at the cross.
The Law of Double Jeopardy: the same offence cannot be punished twice.
Therefore God is righteous in not punishing believers because Jesus has already paid the price for our sins.
God uses judicial terms: we are the righteousness of God in Christ! That's the gospel in a nutshell.

The Rapture can happen at anytime. The Rapture is the Blessed Hope, and that hope purifies us.
There are people who say that the Rapture is a theory, a concoction that people came out with in the 1800's.
Matthew Henry, one of the famous commentators of the Bible was one of the first to use the term "Rapture", and that was in the 1600's.

III John 1:2 - There is no such thing as the 'health and wealth gospel'. There is only the gospel of grace and peace.
But the gospel RESULTS in health, wealth and peace!
Wherever the gospel goes, society has improved - women are honored and prosperity reigns.
This is God's will for all believers: that we prosper in ALL things!

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 1:2 NKJV)

Pastor Prince is against materialism and covetousness, and against pastors who have big congregations and live ludicrous, outlandish lifestyles.
Pastors should sacrifice for the flock and it should not be the flock sacrificing for the pastors.
There is no such thing as "a window of opportunity has now opened in this season for financial blessings".
Some pastors say that to get their congregation to give them money.
The windows of heaven have been flung open permanently ever since Jesus died for us at the cross.
God's favor and blessings are upon all believers at all times.

Luke 6:38 - "Pressed down" so that more space can be made available to contain the blessings!
It's like when you are raking leaves - you must press the leaves down into the container to fit more leaves.
You mean when we give we will get blessed? YES! That's what this verse says!

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”” (Luke 6:38 NKJV)

Jesus did not say tell everyone after the loaves and fishes were multiplied.
When it comes to prosperity, keep quiet. Such testimonies can produce jealousy and comparison. It's empty.
When it comes to deliverance from addictions, tell the whole world!

Isaiah 53:4-5 - Some people believe that these verses are talking about spiritual healing and not physical healing.
The truth is that it is literal and physical healing!

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV)

Matthew 8:16-17 - Jesus healed all who had physical sicknesses and cast out demons.
It's literal physical healing and not spiritualized.
There is a reference to Isaiah 53:4 proving that Isaiah 53:4 is talking about physical healing.

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”” (Matthew 8:16-17 NKJV)

Have a prosperous and big attitude. Believe that your supply will increase. Don't have a poor spirit or scarcity mentality.
When you tear a parking coupon and no one is looking, don't lie. There is a God who loves you watching. There are angels watching you. And YOU are watching you. Have self-respect.
A person with dignity and self-respect has kavod (a weightiness and glory). People notice when such a person walks into the room.

Joshua 23:14 - God's words will never fail. All of them will come to pass.

““Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.” (Joshua 23:14 NKJV)

Ephesians 1:3 - Everything you can touch and see is less real than the spiritual, because it is decaying. It is not permanent.
God is a Spirit Being that brought forth and manifested the physical.
"Spiritual" here is the Greek word "pneumatikos" which means "has its origin in God".
Something can originate in God or in the efforts of the flesh.
Spiritual blessings produces physical evidence of blessings! Examples: Freedom from stress, and happiness.
We don't cheat and lie on our taxes. We give to Caesar what is Caesar's.
If you have been cheated of money, you don't have to go down to the level of the cheater.
God always out-gives to you what you have lost. God will always bless you with more!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” (Ephesians 1:3 NKJV)

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 - God gives us the "power" which is the Hebrew word "koach". This power is invisible.
The word "get" is the Hebrew word "asah" which means "to create". God has given us the power to create wealth.
Many of the richest people on earth are Jews. Why? They have a covenant with God. They have the power to create wealth.
Do we have that? Yes! Believers have an even better covenant than the unsaved Jews!
Get in line with God's word and will, and God will prosper you!

“then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:17-18 NKJV)

There is a God who loves you watching. There are angels watching you. And YOU are watching you. Have self-respect. A person with dignity and self-respect has kavod (a weightiness and glory). People notice when such a person walks into the room.

II Corinthians 1:20 - When you say yes and amen, it is through you, and it gives glory to God.
It must be a definitive and emphatic YES and AMEN. Be affirmative.
Jesus was affirmative when He said "let it be done to you as you have believed" and "according to your faith let it be done to you".

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (II Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)

II Corinthians 1:17-20 - Planning according to the flesh means to be unsure and swaying between yes and no.

“Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No? But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (II Corinthians 1:17-20 NKJV)

Matthew 4:5-6 - Before this, the heavens opened to Jesus by the River Jordan and God told Him that He is God's Beloved Son in whom He is well-pleased.
The devil left out the word "beloved" when tempting Jesus.
"If you are the Son of God.." is the common mantra in his temptations to Jesus.
The devil knows that if people are reminded that they are loved by God, the temptations won't succeed on them.
Always remind your children that they are loved.
The only place when the devil tries to quote the Bible is here where he tried to quote Psalms 91.
Some people falsely believe that the devil reads and knows the Scriptures. The devil does not read the Bible, if not he will become a heavenly devil. The Bible has that effect of producing holiness.
The devil knows Psalms 91 because believers quote it a lot against him!
Jesus does not sin because He won't sin. Jesus is like solid pure gold.
God allowed the devil to tempt (test) Jesus and in the end, Jesus is verified to be sinless, like solid pure gold with no impurities!
Jesus cannot be destroyed. He dismissed His spirit at the cross, like a king commanding His subject.
Jesus' life cannot be taken from Him without His permission.
Only Jesus can lay down His own life.
Death can only fasten upon a person who has sin in him. Jesus is sinless, so death has no dominion over Him.

“Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”” (Matthew 4:5-6 NKJV)

II Peter 1:2-3 - How can we experience the tangible blessings of God in our life - more grace, more favor, more peace, more Shalom? How is it multiplied?
The more we see Jesus and know Jesus, the more we will experience the blessings in our lives!
As you listen to the word of God and receive more revelations of Jesus, you will walk out will more healthier, more prosperous etc!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,” (II Peter 1:2-3 NKJV)

It's not cool to say the "F-word". You lost control. A demon has you from the outside, not from within.
If someone offends you, just shine and walk away.
That's something that they don't have - Self-control and holiness.

If your colleagues are talking bad and gossiping about your boss, don't join in.
Don't be afraid to say something good about your boss either.
Don't allow their bad behavior to pull your standard of glory and virtue down.
You have no business talking bad about your boss if you are working under him/her. If you are unhappy, quit your job.

Be a gentleman.
Be someone called to glory and virtue.
Be someone charming but not flirtatious.
Be someone that girls want to marry but you choose only one.
Be someone that people admire, yet you marry only one.

Psalms 91:11-12 - The devil left these words out when he quoted Psalms 91 while tempting Jesus: "to keep you in all your ways".
He wants you to believe that God has blessed you in some areas, but not in all areas.
No, God has blessed you in ALL areas: all your journeys in life.
In all areas of your life, there are angels there, keeping you and bearing you up!

"Lest you dash your foot against a stone" is talking about protection during your daily walk in life - it is not talking about you jumping off a building and expecting God to save you.

“For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” (Psalms 91:11-12 NKJV)

1) In this gloomy financial market, what would be the best advice you can give to someone who doesn't know a thing about investing/ value investing, but who wants to get started at it?

The best advice I would give to anybody wanting to get started is to firstly invest in yourself by finding a mentor who has achieved success in the markets to get guidance.
The big issue I find with people who don't know anything is that they try to go onto the internet to figure things out themselves.
Although this is a good start, the internet is filled with so much information that most people would naturally get lost.
Invest in yourself. Stick to one method that suits your personality and do not get distracted.

2) What are the types of investments that you are investing in, and what tips can you share for first-timers who may want to follow your investment strategies?

I'm personally mainly vested in stocks and options.
I use "Value Investing". I invest for the long term and also use options for regular cash-flow.
I personally would recommend this book: "Gone Fishing with Buffet" as a starting guide for value investing. it is the book I started with myself.

3) What do you feel is the current culture in Singapore towards entrepreneurship and investing? How important is it that one gets involved in these two areas?

I feel that now more people in Singapore are getting bombarded with advertisements regarding trading or investing.
It's in our faces almost every single day. It is very important to get started but it is equally important to understand the different methods and what suits you best.

Entrepreneurship in my opinion is getting less popular as people want things given to them on a platter.
Entrepreneurship though is tough work and it requires grit and perseverance. Many people do try it out, but not many last for very long.

But ultimately I believe getting involved in either or both of these areas is of utmost importance as you would know that you simply cannot just rely on your job for income.

4) Share with us a story of how you lost heavily in investing and how did you find the courage and confidence to rebound and keep on going.

This is an interesting story actually. It is not actually to do with investing in the stock market.
Recently though I ventured into investing in private companies. It was a $20,000 investment into a friend's businesses with promises of good returns in a short period of time.
I blindly trusted my friend and didn't do proper research and my usual homework.
The investment turned sour and I found out that he was overly leveraged and just borrowing money to pay off debts. The entire investment came to nothing.

An important lesson that I learned was that nobody cares about your money as much as you do.
It would take me some guts to get back into investing in private companies again. Thankfully I stuck to my principles of not having all my eggs in one basket. It was only a portion of my investment portfolio.

5) What advice would you give to someone who is looking to start their own business but don't know where to start?

Starting your own business requires many different skill sets.
The first most important one you need is the ability to sell! Make sure you learn and have experience in selling products and services.
I see many people with great products or services to offer but the sad thing is that they know nuts about sales.
If you already do have experience in sales my advice in starting a business would be to first look at yourself.
What are your strengths and passions? What particular skill or expertise can you turn into a profit?

6) What advice would you give to someone who wants to invest but has very little capital to get started?

A good place to start which requires very little investment would be in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
They are basically a composite of 30 of the stronger blue chip stocks in Singapore.
By investing in that ETF you immediately diversify, and it requires as little as $100 to start.
You can get started by simply logging on to your ibanking site or by going down to an ATM machine.

7) How can one best cultivate the habits needed to become a savvy investor and entrepreneur?

Watch the people you hang around with very closely.
Always be in a network where you get to network with and connect to other investors and entrepreneurs.
By doing so you always have a supportive network of people who talk about things which can help you grow as a person.
Some of my best investments and most profitable ventures have come because of the ideas shared among my friends.

Some people believe that they are saved by good works. No, we are saved by believing in Jesus Christ.
However, man looks at our works.

When a boss accesses the performance and is deciding on how much bonus to give to his employees, he bases it on their works.
Can a boss access their performance by grace and give all of them equal bonus and give all of them the highest CEO position, disregarding their works?
No it's not possible. In life you are rewarded based on your works.

The reason someone can do his job with a smile is because of knowing the revelation that God's grace is working and flowing through him/her, and the grace given to him/her is not in vain.

God will teach you from within. You don't need to play Pokemon anymore now that you are 20 years old.

Live a holy life that is taught by grace, and be zealous for good works. Dead works are works that are done to try to justify oneself before God.

In almost every epistle of the Apostle Paul, he refers to the Rapture, and the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Rapture is "harpazo" in Greek which means "snatching away".

There will be a judgment but it will not be on believers. It will be on the world.

The Rapture was a mystery. It was hidden but now is revealed to believers.
In the Rapture, we are not going up to heaven with just our spirit and soul, but with a new spiritual body that cannot die, cannot decay, and cannot feel tired.

Some people believe that only obedient believers will go up in the Rapture,
but the Apostle Paul said that all believers who are alive and remain will go up in the Rapture. That's the only criteria to go up in the Rapture.

Animals all fell when Adam fell, because Adam was the appointed ruler of the earth.
Animals became carnivorous when Adam fell. But animals will no longer devour each other when Jesus returns to rule.

The Scriptural position is not to look back to death but to look forward to the "Blessed Hope", which is the glorious coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When you say sorry to others or to God, it is not what makes God forgive you.
You were forgiven of all your past, present and future sins when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
We should focus on confessing that we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Our salvation doesn't hinge on confessing all our sins.
We don't confess our individual sins to be forgiven by God, but we do it for our own psychological need.

When you sin, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. That's how you can overcome sins and addictions.

It's not your repentance that makes God good to you.
Under the Old Covenant, you have to repent first before you can experience God's goodness.
Under the New Covenant of Grace, it's God's goodness that leads you to repentance.

When God unleashes prosperity and blessings your way upon your career and/or ministry, no one can stop it.

Your healing has nothing to do with what you have done, but it's because of what Jesus has done at the cross.

III John 1:2 - There's never been a health and wealth gospel. There's only the Gospel of grace and peace.
However the gospel produces health and provision!
God doesn't promise everyone that will become a multi-millionaire. Rich doesn't mean becoming a multi-millionaire but it does mean being fully-supplied.
You're blessed to be a blessing. Not just for yourself.
This prayer is prayed by the Apostle John. We can all agree that John will not pray contrary to God's will.
Prosper in ALL things includes finances, marriage, relationships, children, etc!
"just as" in the verse is the Greek word "kathos" which means "in proportion to".
Soul prosperity has to do with Jesus.
The soul is the mind, will and emotions. Man is a spirit who has a soul and in living in a body.

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 1:2 NKJV)

II Corinthians 8:9 - This is in the context of giving.
Jesus was made poor at the cross - the Roman soldiers took His only material possession left - His expensive clothes, and were gambling for them.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” (II Corinthians 8:9 NKJV)

III John 1:1-8 - Gaius' soul was prospering because he knew how to walk in the truth.
In the Apostle John's epistles, "the truth" always refers to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Being generous is not the truth. It is the result of the truth. Right believing causes one to become generous.

“The Elder, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well, because they went forth for His name’s sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles. We therefore ought to receive such, that we may become fellow workers for the truth.” (III John 1:1-8 NKJV)

Romans 16:23 - Gaius is a very generous person.

Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother.” (Romans 16:23 NKJV)

Luke 18:18-23,19:1-10 - The rich young ruler tried to flatter Jesus by calling Him "Good Teacher". Jesus was saying that if the rich young ruler wants to call Him good, then he must first acknowledge Jesus as God.
Jesus gave the rich young ruler a great opportunity to become one of His disciples.
He didn't say "follow Me" to many people.
God is not against you having money, but in money having you.
Jesus pointed to Zacchaeus the tax collector who was on the tree and called him by his name.
Zacchaeus' name in Hebrew is pronounced as "Zakkay" which is the Hebrew word for "acquitted".
Jesus went to Zacchaeus' home and ate with him, showing him grace.
Jesus gave the rich young ruler the Law because he was looking at his works.
When the rich young ruler was given the Law, he could hardly give one shekel. Zacchaeus was never given the Law by Jesus, but he opened his wallet.
Jesus said that "salvation has come" because salvation is "Yeshua" in Hebrew which is Jesus' name.

Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ” And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. (Luke 18:18-23, NKJV)

Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:1-10, NKJV)

When we pray for healing, it is the Healer that heals. When we lay our hands on the sick, that simple act is powerful.
Our part is only to lay hands on the sick. God is the One who heals. Our part is the simple part. It's simply obedience.
Peter simply obeyed Jesus' command to let down the net to catch fish and it resulted in a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fishes.
God takes care of the supply.

II John 1:1-9 - When Paul writes to churches, he writes grace and peace.
When Paul writes to individuals, like Timothy, he writes grace, mercy and peace.
Individuals are more liable to make mistakes so they need mercy.
The truth that abides in us is the Holy Spirit.

“The Elder, To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.” (II John 1:1-9 NKJV)

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 - If the wealth came in a spectacular way, everyone will know that it's God.
But if it came in a supernaturally-natural way, you might forget that it is the Lord.
Always remember that it is the Lord that gives you the power to get wealth.
The reason that He gives you that power is not to establish you, but to establish His covenant.
If you're smart, position yourself to glorify Jesus and exalt Him. God's heart is all about His Son.

Picture

Jesus is Aleph (the first alphabet of the Hebrew letters) and Tav (the last alphabet) - Aleph is in the shape of an ox head and Tav is the shape of a cross.
It's talking about Jesus being the sacrificial offering at the cross.
Aleph Tav is Jesus' signature. Jesus has the first and last word in your life.

If Jesus is not God, then His blood is just human blood, and it's just martyrdom.
Gnosticism says that Jesus and the Christ are two separate things.
It says that the Christ came upon Jesus when He was baptized at the River Jordan.
It says that the Christ departed from Jesus when He died at the cross.
Gnosticism also says that Jesus Christ did not come in the flesh. This is all blasphemy.

I John 4:1-4 - Today the problem is not anti-God, but the problem is anti-Christ. Some preachers keep saying God but they hardly mention Jesus.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (I John 4:1-4 NKJV)

John 17:3 - Jesus is the One who first called Himself Jesus Christ when He was praying the high priestly prayer. He established that He is the Christ.

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3 NKJV)

John 1:1-4 - Jesus pre-existed with God.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1-4 NKJV)

John 1:10-18 - The Greek language has masculine, feminine and neuter words.
The first "His own" is neuter which is referring to Jesus' own possessions/things which is referring to the world - the stars, the moon, the animals, nature.
The second "His own" is masculine which is referring to people.
All of Jesus' creations attested to and proclaimed His glory, except for man.
Jesus did not proclaim His own glory when He was on earth, but He veiled it.
But some people were able to penetrate through that veil with their faith and see His glory.
Jesus came in the flesh. Jesus was always in the bosom of the Father - He knew that He was loved by the Father.
He operated all miracles and did everything in the bosom of the Father.
Jesus has given us His bosom so that we can always dwell in and rest in the Father's love for us.

“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1:10-18 NKJV)

John 21:20-22 - John was already following Jesus without being told.
Peter needed an imperative to be given to him before he followed Jesus.
The difference was that John relied on Jesus' love for him, whereas Peter depended on his love for Jesus.

Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”” (John 21:20-22 NKJV)

We are not looking at the times, we are looking at Jesus. Nothing catches Jesus by surprise.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and tell Him all your problems and needs.

31 July 2016 - Holy Communion: The Eucharist that Brings Health and Wholeness - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Luke 18:27 - Jesus Himself said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God". God rejoices when He is needed and called on.

“But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”” (Luke 18:27 NKJV)

Isaiah 53:4-5 - The Bible says that surely Jesus has borne our "choli" which is the Hebrew word for "physical sickness" and carried our "makob" which is the Hebrew word for "physical pains".
Jesus took our punishment upon Himself. He was not punished for His own sins, but for all of our sins!

Matthew 8:16-17 - The context is physical healing. Isaiah 53:4 is not talking about healing from spiritual sickness - it's talking about healing from physical sickness.
Our spirits are not just sick, they are dead if we are not saved.
To revive our spirit, we need to be born again, not just healed.

Luke 13:11-13 - Eighteen years - Eighteen is 6 + 6 + 6.
666 is the number of the Antichrist. The devil will always try to bow you down, but Jesus will always lift you up!

“And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” (Luke 13:11-13 NKJV)

Romans 2:14-15 - The Bible says the Ten Commandments is written in every heart.
This is how we know that we are all fallen - We know what's right but we don't want to do what's right.

“for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them )” (Romans 2:14-15 NKJV)

III John 1:2 - The Christian life is a discovery of how much God loves us.
This prosperity is not just talking about spiritual prosperity. It's talking about prosperity in EVERY area of our lives.
God wants us to live the zoe (the Greek word for "life") life.
That is the life that God Himself lives by.
Eternal life is not just about living forever - those in hell also live forever.
Eternal life is not talking about the duration of life, but about the quality of life.
Jesus came that we may have the abundant life!

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 1:2 NKJV)

God's will for you is to NEVER be sick. Once we are in heaven, we will never be sick, and there will be no need to pay for anything - no more bills, no more taxes, etc.

Revelation 21:4 - When someone has gone to heaven, their tears will have to be wiped away probably because he is crying for those who are not saved and who have accepted their fallen state.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:4 NKJV)

God did not create us as robots. He chose to create man knowing full well that man would rebel.
Love is love because it gives a choice.

The thing about free choice: You cannot choose the result of your choice.
Example: If you choose to touch fire, you choose to be burnt.

James 5:14 - Notice that it doesn't say that the elder who is praying cannot be sick.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14 NKJV)

I Corinthians 11:30 - If a Christian passes away now, he or she will be asleep because death is conquered and is no more for the believer.

“For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.” (I Corinthians 11:30 NKJV)

The Bible says that surely Jesus has borne our "choli" which is the Hebrew word for "physical sickness" and carried our "makob" which is the Hebrew word for "physical pains". Jesus took our punishment upon Himself. He was not punished for His own sins, but for all of our sins!

I Corinthians 11:20-34 - Jesus died for unworthy people. Unworthy people have a claim on Jesus' saving power.
An adverb modifies a verb. The verse is not saying that unworthy people cannot partake of the holy communion. It's saying that you can't partake in an unworthy MANNER.
An unworthy manner means to not discern the Lord's body.
"Discerning" is the Greek word "diakrino" which means "to make a separation".
Some people believe in "transubstantiation" whereby the Holy Communion elements actually physically become the body and blood of Christ. That is a dangerous heretical teaching.
You cannot be saved through taking communion.
How to discern the Lord's body: The broken body of Christ is for our healing. The shed blood of Christ is for the forgiveness of our sins.
The world is dying. There is a sentence of sickness on the world ever since Adam sinned and man fell in the Garden of Eden.
The Holy Communion is a cure. If you're not drinking the healing, you're drinking the problem.
Partaking of the Holy Communion is not to be taken with fear, but with celebration.
The Corinthian church was coming together to get drunk with the wine used for Holy Communion.
That's what Paul was referring to when he said "lest you come together for judgement".

“Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper. For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk. What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you. For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.” (I Corinthians 11:20-34 NKJV)

People like to see spectacular demonstrations of God's power like people falling to the ground under God's power when being prayed for.
But there is no point in having spectacular displays of power if there is no desired outcome -
example: if a person falls to the ground under God's power and doesn't get healed.

Romans 8:1 - "Condemnation" is the Greek word "katakrima" which means "punishment following condemnation".

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1 NKJV)

Galatians 3:13 - Believers don't live under the curse of the Law, they live under the blessing of God.
Jesus bought us out of the slave market of sin by being made a curse for us.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: (Galatians 3:13 NKJV)

God wants us to judge ourselves according to the blood of Christ and according to what Jesus has done for us.

Matthew 26:26-28 - "Gave thanks" is the Greek word "eucharisteo". Jesus demonstrated the spirit of thankfulness in which the Holy Communion is meant to be partaken in.
The Holy Communion is not about the reminder of sins, but it's about the REMISSION of sins - it is a place of blessing.
When you thank God, you are declaring that it is a done deal.
How can you give thanks and say that you are already healed when the pain is staring you in your face? You can say so because God said so!
The Lord's Supper is the substance of the shadow which is the Jewish Passover. The shadow is not the real thing.

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:26-28 NKJV)

Romans 4:17 - Like how God operates, you have to call the things that are NOT as though they are, then they will manifest.
That's faith, and there's power there.
When you have sickness in your body, you shouldn't say "I'm not sick, I'm not sick" - that's calling the things that are as though they are not.
You should say "By Jesus stripes, I am healed".

“(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” (Romans 4:17 NKJV)

When a sheep falls into mud, it hates it and wants to get out. But when a pig falls into mud, it wallows in it and loves it.
Truly born-again believers are like sheep - they may get tempted and be attracted to commit sin in that particular moment, but they don't want to stay in sin and they want a way out.
If you enjoy your sins and don't want a way out of them, then you're probably a 'pig'.
Attending church and filling out a form and writing "Christian" doesn't make you a Christian. You have to be born-again.

To youth leaders: don't treat your youths as though they don't know what the grossest sins (examples: watching pornography, masturbation) are and try to define them.
Your youths will laugh at you even if they don't admit that they are already committing those sins.
Speak to them like they are already doing it.

A child who studies hard and gets good grades doesn't make him or her a good boy or girl who is exempt from committing sins.

Picture
How to discern the Lord's body: The broken body of Christ is for our healing. The shed blood of Christ is for the forgiveness of our sins. The communion is the eucharist - giving thanks to God for what Jesus has done for us at the cross!

Proverbs 10:27, Ephesians 6:1-3, Psalms 91:16 - There are things that you can do that will prolong your life.
The fear of the Lord prolongs days. Honoring your father and mother prolongs your life.
Psalms 91:16 says "to satisfy him", referring to the believer.
It's up to you to decide when you are satisfied! Is 80 years old too short a lifespan for you? Then ask and believe the Lord for more years!

The fear of the LORD prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.” (Proverbs 10:27 NKJV)

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”” (Ephesians 6:1-3 NKJV)

With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”” (Psalms 91:16 NKJV)

Acts 20:7 - Breaking bread is to partake of the Holy Communion.

“Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.” (Acts 20:7 NKJV)

Acts 2:46-47 - You can partake of the Holy Communion everyday, as much as is desired.
Don't be legalistic about it - some people believe that if they don't partake for a set number of times a day, they will surely fall sick.
What ends up happening is that they really fall sick because they believe that they will.

“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47 NKJV)

The Old Covenant is written statutes to be obeyed, whereas the New Covenant is to follow the Holy Spirit's leading.

You can partake of the Holy Communion with any kind of bread and a drink of red nature.
It doesn't have to be unleavened bread and wine, because it is symbolic.

You don't receive healing because you are good. You receive healing because what Jesus did at the cross is good!

Exodus 12:9 - The Jews used to roast the lamb by piercing it through a spike, and using a horizontal bar to spread its arms outstretched. That's the shape of the cross!
Then they would remove the lamb's intestines and wrap it around on the top of the lamb's head - similar to the crown of thorns that was on Jesus' head.
Jesus was burned so that we won't be burned. God's fire is a just fire - because it has burnt Jesus at the cross, it cannot burn a believer today.
The lamb's head represents the mind of Christ. Do you have depression, a headache, or a mind-associated problem?
When we partake of the Holy Communion, say that "By the stripes of Jesus, I partake of the mind of Jesus."
Every time you partake of the Holy Communion, the Lord is glorified because He is reminded of His Son.
Keep partaking even if you don't see immediate manifestation of your healing. Every time you partake, you are getting better.

Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire—its head with its legs and its entrails.” (Exodus 12:9 NKJV)

Psalms 105:37 - The lamb is a shadow, pointing to the substance which is Jesus Christ.
If the Jews could partake of the shadow and come out rich and none of them feeble, how much more we who have the TRUE Substance!
We can be truly healthy, prosperous and living the abundant life. There's no such thing as a health and wealth gospel, but the gospel supplies health and wealth to us!
Wherever the gospel has gone, society has broken out! Wherever Christianity has gone, there is education, women are no longer subjugated, hospitals are built, and more.

“He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.” (Psalms 105:37 NKJV)

Picture

Then they would remove the lamb's intestines and wrap it around on the top of the lamb's head - similar to the crown of thorns that was on Jesus' head. Jesus was burned so that we won't be burned. God's fire is a just fire - because it has burnt Jesus at the cross, it cannot burn a believer today.

The Bible says to pray and to make intercession for all who are in authority, so that we can live quiet and peaceable lives.

In many parts of the world, common sense doesn't reign anymore.
We know what's right in our hearts. Don't allow others to force you into accepting what is wrong.

Gluttony is wrong because it destroys your body. God wants you to live long.

For this reason - a singular reason, many are weak, sick and fall asleep before their time.
That reason is that they don't distinguish the Lord's body - they don't distinguish between the bread and the cup.
You don't partake of the holy communion in order to be forgiven. You partake to celebrate and give thanks for what has already been done. It's Eucharistic in nature.

Psalms 22:17 - Most criminals would go straight to the cross.
But because of Pontius Pilate's miscalculation, Jesus went through both scourging and crucifixion.
Psalms 22, a Messianic Psalm reveals that Jesus was scourged so bad that His bones were exposed.

I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.” (Psalms 22:17 NKJV)

When you declare that you are healed of your sickness or disease, call the condition by name and declare that by Jesus' stripes, you are healed! Don't rush through it.

Genesis 14:18-20 - Melchizedek is the King of Shalom. Shalom is not just peace, but it's also wholeness and completeness - it includes freedom from sickness and disease.
Jesus was always healing and cleansing people while He was on earth because He is the King of Shalom.
"God Most High" is "El Elyon" in Hebrew - this is the first mention of this name of God.
Melchizedek said what He said to Abraham so that we know that God possesses both the heavens and the earth.
Many have tried to take possession over the heavens and the earth, but all have failed.
Only One will succeed, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ when He comes back to rule on earth.

What did Melchizedek (who represents Jesus) say to the King of Sodom (who represents the devil)? Nothing! He completely ignored him.
That's the posture we should have as believers. Don't give your credit, glory and weight to the devil. Just ignore him.
Abraham knew that when he tithed he would become rich. The Hebrew word for "rich" which is "ashar" is in the Hebrew word for "tithe" which is "asar".

“Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all.” (Genesis 14:18-20 NKJV)

When your ministry grows and your career is blessed, stop looking around. Look up - Your blessing is from the Lord!

The Bible says that every soul is subject to higher powers.
Even wicked people are allowed to be raised up for a purpose and God can use their evil deeds to bring about His divine purposes.
Pharaoh's heart was hard and at points in time God hardened his heart to bring about His purposes.
King Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon was also raised up by God.
Because he was looking around himself thinking that he was the cause of his riches and power instead of looking up to God, God struck him with madness.

Don't seek blessings from people. Their hands are too small.
Receive your blessings from God. When God blesses you, no one can stop it.

Holiness is adopting God's thinking, attitude and actions.

When God blesses us with prosperity, it mostly manifests in a very normal way, and it's easy to forget that it is God who blessed us.
Don't say that it is your own hand and power that caused you to prosper. It is God's blessing.

The Church is not a building. The church is the most powerful organization in the universe!

I Corinthians 11:23-26 - In what way was Jesus' body broken for us? It was broken for the healing of our sicknesses and diseases.
When you proclaim the Lord's death, you are announcing to the powers of darkness that you're shaking off all the powers of darkness because of what Jesus has done.
And you're doing that without saying it directly. How do you proclaim the Lord's death? By taking communion.

“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” (I Corinthians 11:23-26 NKJV)

I Corinthians 10:16-18 - Partaking of the body of Christ is not referring to partaking of the church, but referring to partaking of Jesus' body.
We partake of that one body which is Jesus's body.
When you partake of the holy communion, you are in joint partakers/sharer (in Greek: "koinonia") of the body of Christ.

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?” (I Corinthians 10:16-18 NKJV)

Acts 2:46-47 - The Holy Communion can be partaken of in your home, but there is a main meal to be partaken of every Sunday (the first day of the week) when you come together for church service.
That's following the pattern of Scripture. The Holy Communion is also called the "Lord's Supper".
During supper, it's dark but it doesn't get darker. After the darkness comes the light.

“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47 NKJV)

Don't stop taking the medicine that is prescribed by your doctor just because you are taking communion.
However, medicine sometimes produces more problems, but Holy Communion is the cure.

About the Sin, Trespass and Burnt Offerings: Sin Offering is for what you do - to cover the sins that you have committed).
Trespass offering has a promise of 120% restoration for your losses.
Peace Offering is where you partake of the power of Jesus.

In these times, the devil has managed to remove the message of the Rapture, Jesus' Second Coming, and the Blessed Hope of the Bible.
Pastors and preachers need to bring that message back and preach it in the pulpit.

There is no such thing as a haunted house, but it is a demon-possessed house. Yes, demons can move things around.
When you partake of Holy Communion in a demon-possessed house, you are proclaiming the Lord's death and announcing to all the demons that they have to flee because of what Jesus has done.

Don't despise the Holy Communion and underestimate its power just because it's so small and simple.
Don't say "Can anything good come out of small Nazareth?"
God could not use Samson to destroy 1000 Philistines until the dead donkey's jawbone was totally dry.
God uses the simple, small and weak things of the earth to confound the strong and mighty.
The lost, the last and the least will become mighty. They are the greatest in God's economy.
God's pace is slow and restful, except when it comes to salvation.
Salvation is speedy because there may not be a tomorrow for many people. As long as one has Christ, the devil cannot call his number.

Picture
Partaking of the body of Christ is not referring to partaking of the church, but referring to partaking of Jesus' body. We partake of that one body which is Jesus's body. When you partake of the holy communion, you are in joint partakers/sharer (in Greek: "koinonia") of the body of Christ.

I Samuel 7:8-11 - Differences between the Sin Offering and the Burnt Offering:
In the Sin Offering, your sins are transferred to the lamb, but in the Burnt Offering, the righteousness of the lamb is transferred to you.
The Sin Offering is involuntary, but the Burnt Offering is voluntary. It has a thanksgiving nature.
The Sin Offering reminds God of the sins that His Son took on His body and there is no sweet smelling aroma.
Our sins are called abominations and it smells like something rotten.
However, the Burnt Offering reminds God of His Son and there is a sweet smelling aroma.
The Burnt Offering is not propitiatory in nature - it's not for forgiveness of sins. It's Eucharistic - it's thanksgiving.

“So the children of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not cease to cry out to the LORD our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.” And Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. Then Samuel cried out to the LORD for Israel, and the LORD answered him. Now as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the LORD thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them that they were overcome before Israel. And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and drove them back as far as below Beth Car.” (I Samuel 7:8-11 NKJV)

When the fire of God's judgement hit Jesus, something happened: Jesus' body consumed the judgement but was not destroyed.
That's why the Altar of Burnt Offering is overlaid with bronze because it can withstand fire.
When the Prophet Elijah prayed for God's fire to descend to consume the offering, everything - the water, stones and the offering were all burnt up and gone. In this case, the judgement was greater than the sacrifice.
But when Jesus had consumed all of God's judgement, He was still alive and He dismissed His spirit after crying out "Finished!".
This time, the Sacrifice is greater than the judgement!

When you partake of Holy Communion, don't ask "What can a lamb do?" A Lamb did it.
Every time we proclaim the Lord's death, we remind God of His Son. God loves to be reminded of His Son.
Joseph, a type of Jesus, said "Go tell my father about what you have seen and all my glory".

When you take communion, it will be good to talk to the Lord Jesus.
The Triune God doesn't mind when you address Jesus when taking communion.
The Holy Spirit will probably be grieved if you address Him instead of Jesus during communion.
Most people address the Father during communion. You can address the Father at other times.

Genesis 8:20-21 - When God smells the sweet aroma, He always blesses.
God will never again flood the earth to destroy all life on it.
Every time you partake of the Holy Communion, you are in the presence of a sweet smelling aroma.

Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.” (Genesis 8:20-21 NKJV)

When people accuse you, don't defend yourself. God will defend you.

When God is reminded of His Son, death stops, grace reigns, and something good is released/ happens.
Why do you want to be rich? Why buy things you can't afford to impress people who don't care? It's empty.
Fill your prayers with Jesus. He is the incense - the fragrant aroma that is pleasing to the Father.

In AD 70, General Titus led the Roman Army to raze Jerusalem to the ground.

Tisha B'Av - the 9th of Av : The date of mourning the destruction of the ancient Temples and Jerusalem, and other major calamities which have befallen the Jewish people.

Zechariah 12:3, 8-9 - There is a covenant between God and Israel: Whichever nation comes against Israel will be broken.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it... In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them. It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 12:3, 8-9 NKJV)

There is no place for Anti-Semitism.

God loves the world world, not just the Jews. He so loved the world that He sent His Son, not that He only loved Israel.

Matthew 26:27-28 - Many coverings in the Bible do not happen without the shedding of blood.
Adam and Eve were clothed and crowned with the glory of God before they sinned and fell.
When they sinned, the glory of God disappeared. God covered Adam and Eve with the bloodstained coat of lamb skin - the lamb represents Jesus slain and blood shed for the forgiveness of sins.
Adam and Eve taught their children, Cain and Abel, to bring the blood sacrifices to God.
However, Cain did not do as taught. Today there are many 'Cains'. They want to come to God with their good works to justify themselves.
God wants us to come to Him admitting that we are sinners and that we need to accept what Jesus has done at the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

“Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:27-28 NKJV)

Ephesians 1:7 - We confess our sins to God because we have the forgiveness of sins, not in order to be forgiven.
The word "have" is in the present-active tense which means you have to actively declare and possess your redemption.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7 NKJV)

One Jesus is worth more than all humans, all angels and all galaxies.

Genesis 4:10 - Cain was jealous of his brother Abel, and he murdered Abel.
This is the first time in the Bible that blood is mentioned.
The Law of First Mention: Every time something is mentioned for the first time in the Bible, there is something God wants us to learn from it.
We learn here that blood has a voice - it goes beyond DNA and scientific discoveries about blood.
Although blood is the physically manifested, it is spiritual in nature.

"And he said, What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries unto me from the ground." (Genesis 4:10 NKJV)

Hebrews 12:24-25 - It seems that Jesus and the blood are spoken of as separate things.
Don't refuse the voice of grace. The penalty of rejecting grace is worst than rejecting the Law.

to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,” (Hebrews 12:24-25 NKJV)

In South Korea, when you plant a crop, it blossoms and grows. In North Korea, when you plant a crop, it dies.
Same weather but different results. It is a well-known fact.
The earth does not yield it's crop in North Korea because there's many killings and blood spilled there.

Under the Old Covenant, the lepers were never cleansed, so the processions to do after a leper was cleansed were never done.
However when Jesus came, He cleansed the lepers. The teachers of the Law went from Jerusalem to Galilee to see it for themselves because it has never happened before.
The Messiah has come to cleanse His people.

They want to come to God with their good works to justify themselves. God wants us to come to Him admitting that we are sinners and that we need to accept what Jesus has done at the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

Colossians 1:20, Job 1:6-7 - The gender of the word "things" in this verse is neuter.
It's not referring to humans, but to Jesus' other created things.
When you declare the blood of Christ to cover an injured part of your body, it will be reconciled and made healed.
What was cleansed in heaven? Adam had access to God before he fell. But then later he sinned, bowed his knee to Satan the outlaw spirit, and the rulership of the earth was given to Satan.
There was a place that was unclean in heaven because Satan kept going to Adam's place in heaven to accuse God's people.
In Job 1, it shows that Satan went before the Lord in heaven to accuse Job's character.

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:20 NKJV)

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”” (Job 1:6-7 NKJV)

Revelation 12:10-11 - When Jesus shed His blood, Satan lost his right to access heaven.

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NKJV)

Revelation 1:5 - We are not just covered by the blood, but WASHED in Jesus' blood.

“and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,” (Revelation 1:5 NKJV)

You can use the blood of Jesus to cover things.
You can cover your car, your children, etc. You can apply the blood of Jesus with hyssop - your tongue.
Just by declaring the blood of Jesus, you are applying it. The blood of Jesus has the protective power to stop death, infection, etc!

Psalms 132:4-6 - The Ark of the Covenant was lost and it was found in Ephrathah. David was from Bethlehem Ephrathah.
What was David's secret? He had a passion for God. God found a man after His heart.
If you have a heart to place Jesus at the center, God's favor is marking you.

I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the LORD, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; We found it in the fields of the woods.” (Psalms 132:4-6 NKJV)

Under the Old Covenant, on the Day of Atonement, the High Priest would sprinkle blood on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant.
What do the materials that the Ark of Covenant is made of represent?
The Ark speaks of the Lord Jesus Christ. The acacia wood represents the impeccability of Jesus, that He cannot sin.
The gold represents the divinity and Godship of Jesus.
The three items (the pot of manna, Aaron's stafff and the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments) inside the Ark of the Covenant represent man's rebellion against God.
The three items are placed under the mercy seat which is sprinkled with blood, covering the sins of man.

God loves to place Jesus in the center - Jesus was crucified in between the two thieves.
John saw Jesus in the midst of the seven lampstands in his vision in the Book of Revelation.

The proper way to transport the Ark of the Covenant is to carry it with the two poles attached to it.
When the Philistines transported the Ark, they put it on a bullock cart, but nothing happened because they were ignorant of its glory.
However, when David found the Ark of the Covenant, he put it on a bullock cart.
The bull stumbled because there was no grace or favor, and the Ark shifted.
Uzzah, who was with David, saw it happened and touched the Ark and he died.
"Uzzah" means strength. When man tries to depend on his own strength, it produces death.
David put the Ark in the house of Obed-Edom.

The world worships the strongest, the richest, the most attractive, whereas the heroes of Jesus' parables are the lost, last and the least.
It's much easier to be the lost, last and least.
God's strength is made perfect in our weakness.

II Samuel 6:11-15 - Gittites are from Gath. It's a city of the Philistines. Gittites are Gentiles.
Why was Obed-Edom blessed and how come he knew how to handle the Ark? Part of the secret lies in his name - "Obed-Edom" means "serving the blood".

David received the revelation of the blood. Every six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep, and pillars of smoke from the sacrificing went up towards heaven all the way to the City of David.

The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his household. Now it was told King David, saying, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep. Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.” (II Samuel 6:11-15 NKJV)

Picture

There was a place that was unclean in heaven because Satan kept going to Adam's place in heaven to accuse God's people. In Job 1, it shows that Satan went before the Lord in heaven to accuse Job's character.

I Chronicles 15:25-28 - Under the Old Covenant when you have a great revelation of the blood, you offer up the best. Bulls have a lot of blood in their bodies.
Under the New Covenant, when you have a great revelation of the blood of Jesus, you will have great bullock-sized wealth.

So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom with joy. And so it was, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bulls and seven rams. David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the music master with the singers. David also wore a linen ephod. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps.” (I Chronicles 15:25-28 NKJV)

The right way for the Ark of the Covenant to be carried is by the poles, on the shoulders, and not like the system of the world, which is to place it on the bullock cart.
When you lift Jesus high, all your enemies will scatter.
Whatever God tells you to do, do it His way. When you obey God, He will help you.
You just do the first part and He will do the rest.

Sometimes inactivity makes you weak. Do what God wants you to do, and your energy, strength and youth will be supplied and renewed.

I Chronicles 26:4-8 - Obed-Edom's family was greatly blessed as well. There's no greater blessing than family blessings.

“Moreover the sons of Obed–edom were, Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth, Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him. Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour. The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah. All these of the sons of Obed–edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obed–edom.” (1 Chronicles 26:4-8 KJV)

If there's something you're doing that is going against your conscience, stop it. There is redemption for you in the blood of Jesus.

21 August 2016 - Be a Spiritual Warfare Champion! - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

When you prepare to preach a sermon, the easy part is preparing the sermon.
The difficult part is preparing your heart - you cannot preach while angry, bitter, etc.

II Corinthians 10:3-5 - As Christians, we are engaged in spiritual warfare. Our adversary is the devil.
The warfare is waged in our minds, through our thoughts.
The devil wants to manipulate our thought-life. He wants to plant evil thoughts in our minds to drag us down.
When you believe something internally, you will act on that belief and what is internal will be expressed externally.
Our adversary is small. He (the Holy Spirit) who is in us is greater than he (the devil) who is in the world.
II Corinthians 10:5 does not say "bring every thought into captivity to the obedience TO Christ". It says "obedience OF Christ".

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (II Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV)

Romans 5:19 - The obedience of Christ refers to what Jesus has done for us at the cross.
We are saved because of His obedience, not because of our obedience.

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19 NKJV)

Picture
As Christians, we are engaged in spiritual warfare. Our adversary is the devil. The warfare is waged in our minds, through our thoughts. The devil wants to manipulate our thought-life. He wants to plant evil thoughts in our minds to drag us down.

Ephesians 6:10-11 - We are not asked to be strong in and of ourselves but to be strong in the Lord.
"Wiles" in this verse refers to the lies of the devil. The devil is the father of lies.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11 NKJV)

Out of the armor of God, only one is offensive - the sword of the spirit - the word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 - God's words are life and they will produce life in all areas in your life.
When you meditate on God's word, it will produce boldness and confidence in your spirit.
We have to subject ourselves to the power of God's word. There is power in meditating on God's word.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV)

II Corinthians 5:21 - Jesus is our righteousness. We don't have any righteousness of our own.
Being righteous means we can stand before God and have no sense of unworthiness, shame, guilty or condemnation.
We are made as righteous as God. Don't just confess your righteousness in Christ when you sin and fail. Confess it all the time!

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)

The devil always uses the personal pronoun "I" to lie to you. He says to you "I am addicted to ...".

Our new identity in Christ can only be appropriated when we believe that we are the righteousness of Christ by faith.

What does the righteousness of God look like? Look at Jesus and His life. That's how it's like.

Romans 5:5 - We will not be disappointed because we know that God loves us!
When we say we hope so, we say it with bold confidence because we know that we have a God who loves us and is for us.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5 NKJV)

If you commit suicide it doesn't help you or your family. God will provide a way for you when there seems to be no way.
God's heart is to provide for you. Your life is worth the living.

Who told you that you won't be healed of your sickness or disease? We have a Healer. His name is Jesus.
His name is also Yahweh Rapha which means "the Lord who heals".

God has inscribed our names in the palm of His hand. He will never forget you not abandon you. He loves you!

Picture
We are made as righteous as God. Don't just confess your righteousness in Christ when you sin and fail. Confess it all the time!

28 August 2016 - The Way of Escape From Your Trials - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

You cannot reason your way out of fear. You cannot psyche yourself out of depression.
But you can listen your way out of fear by listening to God's word.

We are either going into a trial or coming out of a trial. On this side of heaven, there are trials.
Because you obey God, people will make fun of you, persecute you, etc. However we should not be suffering what Jesus already suffered for us at the cross - examples are sickness and disease.

We will never be able to truly fathom what Jesus did for us at the cross.

Religion is about doing our very best. It's something that man creates. Reality is what God makes.
Christianity is not a religion - it is a reality and a relationship - God came to die for our sins!

The worst sin in God's eyes is man trying to earn his own righteousness.

If Jesus didn't come down to earth to die for us, we would never be able to go up to heaven.

I Corinthians 10:13 - The word "temptation" in the verse is the Greek word "peirasmos" which means trial/ temptation or solicitation to sin.
Faith is the currency of heaven.
Sometimes we think too much of faith that it becomes a work. If we look at faith at itself, it becomes a work.
The more we focus on God's faithfulness, the faith will be there.
God will always make THE way of escape. It is not a way of escape. "The" is a definite article.
The word "escape" is the Greek word "ekbasis" which means "the escape".
The words "bear it" is the Greek word "hupophero" which means "an undercurrent of a river, carrying one away safely away from danger."

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 10:13-17 - "The escape" is the Holy Communion - the Lord's Supper - the Eucharist.
The word "communion" is the Greek word "koinonia" which means fellowship, association and intimate participation.

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:13-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Picture
"The escape" is the Holy Communion - the Lord's Supper - the Eucharist. The word "communion" is the Greek word "koinonia" which means fellowship, association and intimate participation.

I Corinthians 10:7 - This verse is talking about the children of Israel eating, drinking, engaging in orgies in front of the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai.
We must partake of the Holy Communion in the right way.

"And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”” ‭‭(I Corinthians‬ ‭10:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Just because someone takes communion doesn't mean that they get the benefits of communion.

You can draw a blood-line of the Blood of Jesus around physical areas, in the spirit - no demons, pests etc can cross the line.
Testimonies were shared of wolves and bees dropping dead when they tried to cross the line.

I Corinthians 11:29-30 - Because many believers don't discern the Lord's body, they are weak and sick and die early.
"Discern" is "diakrino" in Greek, which means "to make a difference".
The bread represents the broken body of Jesus which is for our healing, and the cup represents the shed blood of Jesus which is for the forgiveness of our sins.
Jesus conquered death at the cross and the sting of death is gone for believers.
When believers die, it's like falling asleep and then waking up in heaven.

“For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.” ‭‭(I Corinthians‬ ‭11:29-30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The church is supposed to walk in divine health, not divine healing - healing presupposes existing sickness.

God is "I AM" - He is offering us a blank cheque - He can meet any of our needs.
Jesus was not killed or murdered against His will. Jesus laid down His life for us.
When the soldiers were looking for Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus said "I AM" and all of them fell to the ground. That's power!

At the cross, Jesus took all of the bad that we deserved, and we receive all of the good that we do not deserve. That's Christianity - it's not a religion, it's reality!

I Peter 2:24 - Pontius Pilate commanded that Jesus be beaten so as to draw sympathy from the angry mob.
His intention was to spare Jesus' life. However, this was God's divine plan.
"Stripes" should be stripe because Jesus was whipped so badly that there was no sliver of skin left on His back. By His STRIPE we were healed.

“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed.” (‭‭I Peter‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 10:16-18 - The "body of Christ" is referring to us partaking of Jesus' physical body, not referring to the church.
The altar, because of its four corners represents the cross. The lamb's breast (the sacrifices) represents God's love. The whole context of these verses is talking about communion.

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?” ‭‭(I Corinthians‬ ‭10:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Isaiah 53:4-5 - The word "griefs" is "choli" in Hebrew which means physical sicknesses. The word "sorrows" is "makob" which means physical pains.
The word "chastisement" means punishment. The punishment fell upon Jesus. Because He took our punishment, we won't receive it.
The word "stripes" is the Hebrew word "chavurah" which also means fellowship and association - we come into fellowship with Jesus through partaking of the Holy Communion.

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Matthew 8:16-17 - This is referring to Jesus healing physical sicknesses. This proves that Isaiah 53:4 is referring to physical sickness.

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭8:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

There's no way that the devil will point you to Jesus. That's the Holy Spirit's job.
How do you tell whether a ministry is of God?
See if it points people to themselves, or if it points people to Jesus.
Pastor Prince's ministry points people to Jesus!

Picture
"Stripes" should be stripe because Jesus was whipped so badly that there was no sliver of skin left on His back. By His STRIPE we were healed!

Luke 24:30-31 - On the first day of His resurrection, Jesus restored what the first couple (Adam and Eve) lost through eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Adam and Eve partook of the wrong tree.
Holy Communion is the Tree of Life.
Jesus appeared to a couple, Cleopas and his wife. He veiled His identity from them because He wanted them to see Him in the Scriptures.
The word "knew" is "epiginosko" which means to know thoroughly.

“Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:30-31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Luke 24:35-36 - Cleopas and his wife walked 14 miles in a day! Something happened to their bodies when they received the revelation of Jesus.
"Peace to you" is "Shalom" in Hebrew.
Shalom Peace is tied up with the Holy Communion! Take communion until Jesus comes to you - take it until your healing manifests.

“And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.”” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭24:35-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Health and healing through partaking of the Holy Communion may not always happen instantaneously, but you will get better and better every time you partake.
The Holy Communion is a lifestyle - a relationship with God.
Does that mean you will never fall sick again if you regularly partake of the Holy Communion?
No, but you will fall sick less and less, until finally you will never fall sick again.

Don't rely on your feelings. Your feelings fluctuate and are not accurate all the time.
Don't fly by the seat of your pants - use the instrument that you have been given.
Rely on God's instrument - Rely on your new identity in Christ.
Keep on confessing that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
You are not what you feel. You are who God says you are - righteous in Christ!

Never let what you don't understand rob you of the joy of what you understand.
Never let obscure Bible verses interpret other obscure verses.
Interpret obscure verses with sure and certain verses!

Psalms 92:12-15 - The trunk of a cedar tree is incorruptible. Pests can't have their way in it. Evil spirits don't like the incorruptibility of Christ.
According to God's word: Just because your age is old, doesn't mean that you are old. You will not dry up!
You will be vigorous, evergreen and fresh. This is a testimony to God to declare that He is upright!

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:12-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Psalms 104:15-16 - When God refers to His creations, it's always for the benefit of His people. "cedars of Lebanon" refers to believers.
Bread and wine refers to the Holy Communion. The oil refers to the Holy Spirit's anointing. The bread will strengthen your heart!
The Holy Communion is the way to receive renewal of youth.

And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man’s heart. The trees of the LORD are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭104:15-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Psalms 105:37 - After the children of Israel partook of the Passover Lamb which represents the body of Jesus, there was none feeble among them - even the elderly were healthy!
That was the shadow, and now we have the substance, which is the Holy Communion!

“He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭105:37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

In heaven you cannot do anything to expand God's kingdom on earth.
Pray and believe for preservation of your youth for the purpose of expanding God's kingdom on earth!

When you take Holy Communion, do it in remembrance of Jesus, not of yourself.
Don't worry about your needs. From Jesus comes your health and provision.

There is both predestination and free will. Predestination means that God foreknew that you would receive Jesus.

Romans 3:19-27 - Our body is not evil. God made our body good. Our body is fallen.
God's law is not just outward, it is inward too. It stops every mouth, making everyone guilty and unable to boast before God. Under Law, God demands from man. Under grace, God supplies all our needs.
Jesus paid for all our sins at the cross, and that's the righteous basis of our supply. God cannot forgive us on an unrighteous basis.
Grace supersedes the Law. The Law was given by a servant, Moses, whereas Grace came through Jesus Christ the Son.
We are justified freely. On God's part it was at a great cost - He gave up His Son and Jesus gave up His life.
The love of God gave up the Son, and the righteousness of God exacted the payment.
The word propitiation is used only twice in the New Testament - it is used with reference to the mercy seat. God is just in justifying you! It is not at the expense of His righteousness. The claims of divine righteousness have already been full met at the cross.
It is not talking about not being punished for sins in one's past life, but about not punishing the children of Israel for their sins in the past when Jesus had not appeared to them yet.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭3:19-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

“For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:25‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

God wants us to eat, but eat to His glory. Enjoy the food and know that He is the source of the food.

There are no hospitals, judicial courts, etc. in heaven - There's nothing in heaven that indicates that there's evil on earth.

If you have a problem with prosperity you have a problem with God, because He is prosperous and the streets of heaven are all made of gold.
Many people have a poverty mentality of the streets of heaven being paved with gold which suggests that only the top layer is made of gold and below that is tar.
No, the streets are made of gold all the way through!

Teach your children to keep their virginity - teach them saying that precious things are kept under lock and key.
A reply to all people who make fun of you or your child being a virgin before marriage: "To be like you, one night will do. For you to be like me, never again!"

Today God sees believing as obedience.

When it comes to the time for the final judgement, everyone will call Jesus Lord but it will be too late.

There will be no more mystery on who Jesus is. Even the things below the earth will have to call Jesus Lord - Even the devil will have to call Jesus Lord.

Psalms 91:4, Hebrews 9:5 - Pastor Prince believes that Psalms 91 was written by King David.
"Under His wings" refers to the mercy seat under the wings (which is what "His feathers" refers to) of the cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant.
Holy means set apart for special purpose. The holiest place in the Tabernacle, is the mercy seat.

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”‭ (‭Psalms‬ ‭91:4‬ ‭NKJV)

and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Leviticus 16:14 - The place of entrance into the Holy of Holies is the east side.
7 is the number of perfection. 7 times represents perfection. The forgiveness we have received from God is perfect!

“He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.” ‭(‭Leviticus‬ ‭16:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Mercy means not getting all the bad things that we deserve. Grace means getting all the good things that we don't deserve.

One easy test to see whether a sermon message is of God is to see who it glorifies. Does it glorify Jesus, or does it glorify man?

Committing suicide is a form of self-righteousness. Judas did not have to hang himself. If Judas had waited, Jesus would have hung on his behalf.

Genesis 3:23-24, Zechariah 13:7 - After Adam and Eve sinned, they were driven out of the Garden of Eden, and cherubim and a flaming sword were stationed at the entrance of the garden to prevent any man from entering.
That was the first mention of sword in the Bible. The last mention of sword in the Old Testament is significant and it is this: Awake O sword against My Shepherd (Jesus).

“therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.” (‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

““Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the LORD of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.” (‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

What the three items inside the Ark of the Covenant represent:
1) The two tablets of the Ten Commandments represents Man's rejection of God's standards.
2) The pot of manna represents Man's rejection of God's provision.
3) Aaron's rod that budded represents Man's rejection of God-appointed leadership.

Grace is higher than the Law - that's why you can fall from Grace. The mercy seat is placed above the three items in the Ark of the Covenant.
Blood is sprinkled on the mercy seat - God cannot look through His Son's blood. When God sees blood He cannot see sin.

Picture

Matthew 23:37-39 - God will not force His protection upon you. Wings always represent protection.

““O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ ”” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭23:37-39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jude 1:20-21 - We need to keep ourselves in the love of God and practice His love in our lives.
When we practice the love of Jesus, we will end up first in life!

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” ‭‭(Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Goliath's name means "to strip". The devil is always trying to strip us - accusing us, making us feel condemned, to make us feel unloved.

Psalms 91:3-7 - Amen! We are completely protected!

“For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭91:3-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The greatest confession you can make in the New Testament is to declare that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

John 20:11-15 - Mary saw the mercy seat and the Ark of the Covenant. Mary was not wrong in thinking that Jesus was a gardener.
What was lost in one garden (when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden), was restored in another garden.
The first question from the resurrected Jesus' lips was "Why are you crying?"

“But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”” ‭‭(John‬ ‭20:11-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

11 September 2016 - Protection Truths in the Ark of the Covenant (Part 2) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Jesus felt the whole gamut of human emotions just like we do, just that He being God and without the sin nature in Him, has the power to control them.

The first mention of the "ark" is in Genesis, when Joseph was buried in a coffin.
The word "coffin" is the word for ark. The ark is a coffin for the three items.
The only suitable place for the three items is under the mercy seat.

Grace is higher than the Law - that's why you can fall from Grace. The mercy seat is placed above the three items in the Ark of the Covenant.
Blood is sprinkled on the mercy seat - God cannot look through His Son's blood.
When God sees blood He cannot see sin.

Jesus is the true Manna. He is the Bread from heaven. When you partake of the Holy Communion, remember that you are partaking of Jesus' flesh, which He gave for the life of the world.
Aging is nothing more than dying, but now that we are partaking of Jesus' flesh, we will not die, but live.

The blood of bulls and goats cannot take away the sins of the world. They can only provide a covering year to year, like sweeping the sins under a carpet.
But as John the Baptist declared, Jesus is the Lamb that TAKES AWAY the sins of the world!

The two cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant are the guardians of God's righteousness.
Year by year they saw the blood sprinkled onto the mercy seat and God's blessing being released.

I Peter 1:12 - Angels are inquisitive creatures. They desire to look into the beauty of salvation - why are humans offered salvation and why Lucifer isn't?

“To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.” ‭‭(I Peter‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus is the true Ark of the Covenant. The Ark is a visual aid, not the true substance. If you open up the Ark, it forms the shape of the cross.
Picture
The blood of bulls and goats cannot take away the sins of the world. They can only provide a covering year to year, like sweeping the sins under a carpet. But as John the Baptist declared, Jesus is the Lamb that TAKES AWAY the sins of the world!

The cross is where all the attributes of God were displayed. God is love. God is just. God is righteous.
God is a righteous Judge that is just. At the cross, Jesus was punished because He carried our sins.
Jesus was cursed that we may be blessed. Mercy and truth kissed at the cross.
All the Ten Commandments were honored at the cross. Jesus fulfilled the Law.

Our comfort is not that there is no sin in us. Our comfort is that God does not see the sin in us. They are covered by Jesus' blood.

Listening about protection is the first step to walking in protection. God works with faith.
You cannot buy God's blessings with money. If you show God your faith, He will show you the supply.

In a world full of bad news, we need to hear the good news. The good news is found in the word of God.

The lid of the Ark of the Covenant is beaten out of a slab of solid gold, just like how Jesus was beaten to become our mercy seat.

In Israel, the priest's job was to carry the Ark of the Covenant by the two poles. In the natural, it was too heavy to be carried.
Our job is just to obey God and step up in faith. The priests were held up by God. It's like they were walk on air with a spring in their step.
God's burden is light and His yoke is easy. If God tells you to do something, it's always easy and light.

Do what you love and money will follow you. Don't do things for money.

The covering that is put over the Ark of the Covenant is blue-colored. Blue represents heavenly.
The Hebrew word for blue is "Tekhelet". In Israel the men have a blue prayer shawl attached to their waist. The Pharisees loved to make their shawls broad and long, even sweeping the ground, to show that they were spiritual.
The Scripture says that the Messiah will come will healing in His wings. The Greek word for "wings" is "kanaph" which can also refer to the blue prayer shawl.
When the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus' shawl (His wings), she knew that she had been healed!
At the cross, Jesus cried out "Finished", which is "Kula". The root word of it is "blue".
The whole Ark of the Covenant is covered by the finished work (represented by the blue covering).

Joshua 3:3-4 - Look onto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of faith.
Israel crossed the River Jordan which is located at the Dead Sea, which is the lowest place on earth.
Two thousand cubits represents 2000 years after Jesus' death. We are that generation!

“and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”” ‭‭(Joshua‬ ‭3:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Joshua 3:15-17 - The River Jordan is located at the lowest place on earth.
The water represents judgement. Jesus, the true Ark, was the first One to go into the rivers of death and judgement.
Zaretan means distress. God slapped back the judgement and distress that was all the way back to the time of Adam.
Israel walked across the river on dry ground and all of them crossed completely over the Jordan. Salvation is eternal. All believers will cross over and none will be left behind!

This is God's nature - He is the first One in, and the last One out in a situation.
Pastors and leaders, before you expect your congregation and flock to possess their possessions, you must first possess your possessions!
If you haven't done so yet, ask the Lord "Where am I missing it?", and don't blame your people for it.

“and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.” (Joshua‬ ‭3:15-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus is the Third-Party of your marriage. Put Jesus in the center and everything will be held together.

The priests were held up by God. It's like they were walk on air with a spring in their step. God's burden is light and His yoke is easy. If God tells you to do something, it's always easy and light.

Isaiah 52:12-14 - God is so merciful that He goes before and ahead of you to make the crooked places straight.
We are not thankful enough to God because we don't see the obstacles that God has removed from our path that is ahead of us.
When you drive, don't be afraid and keep looking in your rear-view mirrors in fear.
There is a reason that the rear-view mirrors are so small compared to the windscreen. Looking forward! God is your Rear Guard.

“For you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight; For the LORD will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high. Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:12-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Exodus 14:19-21 - The Angel of God refers to Jesus' pre-incarnate form. He was Israel's rear guard.
In a world that is dark, we can live in the light.

And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.” ‭(‭Exodus‬ ‭14:19-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Evolution is nonsense. Everything in life degrades. Examples: Things that are hotter get cooler. Creatures age and then die.

John 10:4-5 - When you wake up in the morning, know that Jesus has gone ahead of you to prepare the way for you.
You don't have to learn how to hear God's voice. It is a statement of fact that believers hear God's voice.
"By no means" is the Greek word "ou me" which is a strong double negative. We don't need to be afraid that we will follow the devil.

And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”” ‭‭(John‬ ‭10:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Genesis 7:1 - God was the first one into the ark. He said come into the ark, not go in.

“Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.” ‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Genesis 8:16 - God was the last one out of the ark. He said go out of the ark, not come out of the ark.

““Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you.” (‭‭Genesis‬ ‭8:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Romans 14:22-23 - If we follow God's voice, we will lack for nothing.
The word condemn here is "katakrino" which means "to judge". It's not "katakrima" which means "condemned to hell".
Many of us has lost the sense of when we are hungry. We eat because it's time to eat.
Honor fullness. If you are full, stop eating. There is a 'food police' in our mind that tell us that "Thou shalt not waste food". But if you follow that, that "thou shalt put on thy waist"!
The principle of God is not dieting. When you diet, your body is starving and it tells itself to slow down the metabolic rate to conserve energy.
That causes you to put on weight easily after your diet ends.
Get back in touch with your feelings of hunger and fullness. Jesus fed the crowd with the five loaves and two fishes under they were FILLED (full).
Don't condemn yourself for eating what you feel like eating. If you choose to eat it, eat it and thank God for it.
If you are full, stop eating and thank God for it.

“Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭14:22-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

When you go for a celebration, if someone offers you a slice of cake, eat it - at least a bite of it, in respect for the celebration.

Proverbs 13:10 - Strife, contention and trouble are the only things that comes from being proud.

By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.” ‭(‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

John 15:5 - Without Jesus we cannot do anything, but with Him we can do all things!

““I am the vine, you are the branches. He was who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭15:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Peter 5:5-7 - Humility does not mean to grovel in the dirt.
True humility is just total dependence on God, and not thinking higher of yourself than you ought to - think in line with what God's word says about you!

“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” ‭‭(I Peter‬ ‭5:5-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Galatians 5:16-21 - The kingdom of God operates by humility not by pride.

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Galatians 5:22-25 - Fruit is something that develops naturally, not by effort. On earth you are in an 'earth suit'. The real you is a spirit. The real you is loving, kind, etc.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 13:4-8 - There is no pride in love.

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Rev. Col Stringer ministers with a powerful anointing and is in great demand to speak at churches and conventions all over the world. Col's unique background of wildlife and humor have won for him the title of "Pastor Crocodile Dundee". He is also a successful author of 20 Christian books. His book ‘On Eagles Wings’ has become an international best seller and has been endorsed by Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Hagin Jr, Jerry Savelle, Jesse Duplantis, and Kenneth Copeland. His book '800 Horsemen' has also been a best seller.

The Apostle John is probably the only disciple of Jesus who had the revelation of God's grace.
He was the only disciple who was with Jesus at the foot of the cross when He was being crucified.
The only disciple who didn't die a martyr's death is John.

Mark 6:1-6 - The people who knew Jesus took offence at Him.
Mighty works COULDN'T be done, not wouldn't. Something was stopping them from happening.
Grace has to be received. It's not a thing, it's a Person - Jesus. It takes humility to receive grace and to stop relying on your own efforts.

“Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.” ‭‭(Mark‬ ‭6:1-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Mark 6:53-56 - The people received God's grace.

“When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.” ‭(‭Mark‬ ‭6:53-56‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

If you humble yourself you won't be humiliated.

Somewhere along the journey of life, we will face something that we don't have an answer for in the natural.
In face of that situation, be humble and have total dependence on God for your life.

John 21:4-6 - If there's a right side, there's a wrong side.
Favor and power are at the right hand of God. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God.
Jesus is talking about doing things using God's way. Everything will be blessed if you do it God's way.

“But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. ” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.” ‭(John‬ ‭21:4-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

II Corinthians 12:7-10 - When we're weak in our own estimation, then we are strong with God.

“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” ‭‭(II Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

How is it possible to finish our course of life with joy despite all the tribulations and persecutions in life? By Living with humility.

24 August 2016 (Midweek Service) - Powerful Truths From the Book of Revelation - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Even if you don't understand what the word of God is talking about, it is still cleansing you and you can receive healing through it.

There's no such thing as the gospel on one side and the message of grace on the other side.
There is only one gospel - the gospel of grace! This gospel is as old as the Apostle Paul!

Christians don't like mud. A sheep may fall into the mud but it doesn't like to be dirty.
A pig on the other hand, will be wallowing in the mud, having a great time. It doesn't mean that believers don't sin anymore, but it's not a believer's nature to sin.
The more you identify with your new nature (you are the righteousness of God in Christ), the more you will be victorious over sin, and you will sin less and less.
We are not identified with sin but we are identified with righteousness!

The world is afraid of contagious diseases. With Jesus, wholeness, life and health are contagious.
It doesn't mean we won't fall sick, but it means that we will get sick less and less.

Matthew 5:1-2 - Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount while seated down. It's a good idea to do that to prevent fainting or falling down (haha).

“And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:” ‭(‭Matthew‬ ‭5:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Revelation 1:12-13 - Jesus said He is Alpha and Omega - Aleph and Tav - the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
Jesus is the Center Shaft of the Menorah. When Jesus is in the centre of your life, you will be held together and integrated.

“Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.” (‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:12-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

In a relationship, if you focus on each other, you will drain each other. If you focus on Jesus, your relationship will be closer.

The Book of Revelation is in three parts: the things you have seen (past), the things which are (present), and the things which will take place after this (future).
After Revelation 3, the church is already in heaven.
Revelation 1 is the things you have seen. Revelation 2 and 3 are the things which are.
Revelation 4 all the way till the end of the book are the things which will take place after this.
From Chapter 6 - 19 the church is no longer the subject. The church is already with Jesus and no longer on earth.
The "saints" mentioned in those chapters refers to the people in Israel who will believe in Jesus after the Rapture.

Revelation 1:17-20 - The word "angels" in Greek is "angelos" which just means "representative". It can also refer to humans.
It refers here to the pastors that are the leaders of each church. The pastors are held responsible for the church, not the congregation.
All the seven churches are found in Turkey (used to be called Asia Minor).

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.” (‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:17-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Picture
Jesus said He is Alpha and Omega - Aleph and Tav - the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Jesus is the Center Shaft of the Menorah. When Jesus is in the centre of your life, you will be held together and integrated.

Revelation 2:1-5 - "Left your first love" is saying that the pastor of the church of Ephesus has forgotten about God's love for him.
In a marriage, when a husband loses the feeling of affection towards the wife, start doing the first works again.
Don't look for the feeling. Kiss her even when you don't feel like it. Say lovey-dovey words to her. Love follows the actions.
"Remove your lampstand from its place" doesn't mean that you will lose your salvation. "Lampstand" refers to a church.
It means that that pastor will lose his church and influence if he doesn't repent. God is the One that gives one influence.
It's not what you do, but why you are doing it. Motives are very important to the Lord. The church of Ephesus did their works without love.

““To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭2:1-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

John 10:27-29 - The word "never" here is a strong double negative, meaning "never ever, no way".
Never interpret an obscure verse with an obscure verse. This verse is a clear verse that no one can lose their salvation.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭10:27-29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Matthew 7:21 - What is doing the will of the Heavenly Father?

““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

John 6:28-29 - This is the will of God: that you believe in Jesus.

“Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”” (‭‭John‬ ‭6:28-29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

It's actually not called the "Judgement Seat of Christ", but rather the "Bema Seat of Christ". It is where believers will receive their rewards from God.
Regarding the Bema Seat of Christ - The Judge is my righteousness. Pastor Prince said that he will expound on this in a future sermon.

A church can have sinners in it: there is a difference between possessors and professors.
Possessors really believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior and they possess eternal life.
Professors say that they are Christians but they don't really believe in Jesus. They are not saved.

I John 2:18-19 - "They" refers to professors who say that they believe in Jesus but they don't really believe.
The fact that they leave the church shows that they are not true believers.

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.” (‭‭I John‬ ‭2:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Matthew 13:24-30 - The parable of the wheat and the tares. The tares represents non-believers who are in the church.

“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭13:24-30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Matthew 13:36-43 - It is possible for sinners to be in the church - the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Only at the end of this age will we know who is really a believer and saved.

“Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” ‭(‭Matthew‬ ‭13:36-43‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 5:9-13 - The Apostle Paul is referring to people who profess to be believers and yet indulges in a sinful lifestyle - he's not referring to the people of the world.
God is more severe and stricter with people who pretend to be believers. God can be kinder to the people of the world than to people who pretend to be believers.
In the Book of Acts, Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead because they were pretending to be believers and were trying to deceive and cause harm to the church.
There are even pastors who are not saved - maybe they just want a job to earn an income or they want influence over people.
God will not tolerate pretenders like these who are harming the true church.

“I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner— not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭5:9-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The first three churches don't exist today.
The church of Thytira is Roman Catholicism.
The church of Sardis is Protestantism - Martin Luther.
Philadelphia is the church that Jesus commends.
Laodicea is a wealthy church that boasted in their wealth.

Revelation 2:11 - Overcomes doesn't mean never ever sinning. To overcome is to simply believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

““He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Revelation 3:5 - Once you are saved, you will be clothed in white garments - your name will never be blotted out of the Book of Life.
In the eyes of God, we are all wearing white garments that invokes angelic help, attracts God's blessings and scares the devil.

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” ‭(‭Revelation‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Revelation 3:21 - As believers, we are already seated with Jesus.

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I John 5:4-5 - We overcome by believing that Jesus is the Son of God.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (‭‭I John‬ ‭5:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Revelation 21:8 - Only non-believers will experience the second death. God will never call you a liar, extortionist, adulterer, etc if you are really saved. He calls you a saint.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”” (‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

"You know why you are suffering this now? It's because of what you did last month/week/yesterday/just now." That's the voice of the accuser.
That is not the voice of God. At the cross, Jesus already paid the price for all of our sins past, present and future. We are the righteousness of God in Christ!

When something wrong happens, it's an attack. Pray against it, but don't think that God is against you. God is not causing it. He is for you!

Revelation 3:14-20 - Jesus is speaking in the language of the Laodiceans. They were money and profit-minded. Most of them were not true believers.
Jesus beautifully asks them to buy salvation and righteousness from Him for free.
There is nothing wrong with money, but we are not to be greedy or identify ourselves with how much money we have.
Jesus waits to be invited in. He doesn't break down the door even though He has the power to.

““And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭3:14-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 13 - The greatest is love.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭13:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Hebrews 10:22-25 - An evil conscience is one that doesn't trust that Jesus' work is perfect and that your sins are completely forgiven.
Many people around the world are not coming to church because the messages preached vague and not giving them security in their salvation.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:22-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Hebrews 10:1-2 - It is the Gospel of grace that purifies us so that we have no more consciousness of sins and stirs up love in our hearts.
"Once" is the Greek word "hapax" which means "once and for all" and "purified" is with continuing effect.

“For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Galatians 1:6-9 - Paul, the Apostle of Grace pronounced a double curse on anyone who preaches any other gospel than the gospel of grace.

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” ‭(‭Galatians‬ ‭1:6-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Acts 13:6-12 - No judgment came upon Elymas the sorcerer until he came against the gospel of grace.
God protects the true gospel and is severe with whoever tries to pervert or come against it.

“Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus, who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.” (‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:6-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus, our Good Shepherd, holds both a rod and a staff. The staff is for the sheep - believers,
whereas the rod is for fending off wolves - unbelievers who would try to harm believers.

Genesis 15:6 - We are made righteous not by our works, but by faith.

"And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness." (Genesis 15:6, NKJV)

25 September 2016 - Protection Truths in the Ark of the Covenant (Part 3) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Sometimes when you hear a word in season for you, you may not recognize the need for it at first.
Later on, that word will come back when you need it and you will remember it. In such cases, God has gone ahead of you!

Jesus moves in life independent of people's opinion. He is not flattered by people, neither is He affected by criticisms towards Him.
Only if you are free from caring about people's opinions of you then can you truly serve effectively.

Why study the Ark of the Covenant? People who are wise will focus on studying about the Lord Jesus Christ.
No matter what your occupation is, your job is to study Jesus!

The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament unveiled.

Joseph was a slave but the Bible says that he was a successful man! You can prosper in every area that you have been planted in.
Bloom where you are planted. God has planted you where you are at for a reason.

Before you were born, you were already an Olympic champion. You beat millions of competitors to be victorious.
You are the one that made it! God has made you a champion. Sin is the one that made us losers.

God's glory for your mind is tranquility, peace and to be unperturbed.

The Ark of the Covenant is the most important piece of furniture of all those in the Tabernacle.
God instructed Moses to build the Ark first, and then build outwards. The Ark is the clearest picture of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Ark is made of incorruptible acacia wood that is overlaid with gold. The box represents the body of Jesus.
The lid of the Ark is beaten out of one solid slab of gold just like how Jesus was beaten to become our mercy seat.
The two cherubim represents God's judicial righteousness. The first time cherubim is mentioned in the Bible is in Genesis:
when Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden and the cherubim were stationed at the entrance of the garden to prevent man from entering the garden.
God is the first One who killed an animal as a sacrifice for Adam and Eve.

A thrice holy God must acquit us righteously. Because of the blood shed at the cross, God can be righteous in making us righteous.

No man except for Jesus, has fulfilled the Ten Commandments.

Genesis 3:23-24, Zechariah 13:7 - After Adam and Eve sinned, they were driven out of the Garden of Eden, and cherubim with flaming swords were stationed at the entrance of the garden to prevent any man from entering.

Joshua 5:13-15 - Joshua was slow to recognize the Lord. We should pray for quick discernment to recognize God's presence.
The "Man" is the pre-incarnate appearance of our Lord Jesus.
The Lord was not there to take sides, but to take over. Your ministry belongs to the Lord.

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “ Are You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.” ‭‭(Joshua‬ ‭5:13-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

As a believer, your heart has been circumcised. The bad emotions and feelings do not come from your heart anymore - they are coming from your flesh.

Joshua 6:1-2 - "I have given" is in the past tense. God has already given us what we need.
When facing a problem, by sight, it looks like we cannot do it. But God moves supernaturally.
God is still a God that supplies miracles to us.

“Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” ‭‭(Joshua‬ ‭6:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

No one can be so proud as to say "I already know everything". We are constantly repenting - change our minds.

Joshua 6:8-11 - A male sheep (ram) has to be killed in order to retrieve a ram's horn.
The horn (called "shofar") is sounded to proclaim the Lord's death - Jesus is the Male Sheep that died for us so that we can proclaim His death.
The ark is in the center. When Jesus is at the center of your life, everything is held together.
God can easily flash His hand and our problems will disappear. But God wants us to learn His ways.
Carrying the Ark is lifting Jesus up. Sounding the shofar is proclaiming Jesus' death.
Joshua told the people not to say anything because their potential complaining and murmuring could destroy what God was doing for them.
He learnt this lesson 40 years ago when he went into Canaan as a spy - all the children of Israel who complained and said that they could not take the land died in the wilderness - except for Joshua and Caleb who had a spirit of faith.

“So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the LORD advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets. Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, “You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout.” So he had the ark of the LORD circle the city, going around it once. Then they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.” (‭‭Joshua‬ ‭6:8-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Leviticus 25:8-10 - Every fiftieth year, restoration and resurrection happens - they get their possessions back. The "trumpet" mentioned here is the shofar.

“‘And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.” ‭(Leviticus‬ ‭25:8-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

9 is the number of the Holy Spirit. There are 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

To possess your possessions you have to keep proclaiming the Lord's death. Partaking of the Lord's Supper is the way we proclaim the Lord's death today.
Whenever Satan sees you taking the Lord's Supper, he trembles and takes four or five steps backwards.
Sickness and disease also trembles in fear in your body.

I Corinthians 14:6-9 - You can preach to people to benefit them in these four ways.
Speak with words that are easy to understand, especially if you are a communicator.
If you want your walls of Jericho to fall, it is by listening to preaching.

“But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching? Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭14:6-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Chronicles 13:8, 1 Chronicles 15:28 - When David first took the Ark, Uzzah died. Then he went to study the Scriptures.
When David took the Ark the second time and placed it with Obed-Edom, he did it right.
During the first taking, it says "with all their might". They relied on their own strength and efforts.
"God" is the word "Elohim" (Creator God) which indicates a feeling of distance.
During the second taking they used the shofar (which proclaims the Lord's death). In the first taking there was no Lord Jesus.
"Lord" in the second taking is the word "Yahweh" (the Lord) which indicates a feeling of closeness.

Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.”‭‭ (I Chronicles‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭NKJV‬)

“Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps.” (‭‭I Chronicles‬ ‭15:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Picture
A male sheep (ram) has to be killed in order to retrieve a ram's horn. The horn (called "shofar") is sounded to proclaim the Lord's death - Jesus is the Male Sheep that died for us so that we can proclaim His death.

When you keep listening to the word of God being preached, the walls of your Jericho are crumbling and decaying from inside.
You may not see it happening in the natural but it is happening.

Galatians 3:5 - The word "supplies" here is in the present continuous tense. We are constantly being supplied and filled with the Holy Spirit. We won't become empty.
God constantly works miracles among us - in us, and for the people around us as well.
If we bring the Ten Commandments out of the Ark, it will bring trouble. What God has hidden in the Ark, let it remain hidden.
Faith doesn't come by having heard, it comes by hearing and hearing!

“Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—” ‭‭(Galatians‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Corinthians 1:21 - The word "save" is the Greek word "sozo" which also means heal.
We receive God's healing by listening to preaching.
If you are sick, you should be listening to preaching constantly. The sickness doesn't take an off day.

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” (‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭KJV)

Having fame is not peaceful. Don't envy celebrities. They all need Jesus. They should envy you for having Jesus.

Joshua 6:25-27 - The land where Jericho was built is cursed.

“And Joshua spared Rahab the harlot, her father’s household, and all that she had. So she dwells in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the LORD who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.” So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.” (‭‭Joshua‬ ‭6:25-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I Kings 16:34 - Don't build up what God has destroyed. Don't go back to the worldly system after you have been delivered from it.

In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation with Abiram his firstborn, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates, according to the word of the LORD, which He had spoken through Joshua the son of Nun.” (‭‭I Kings‬ ‭16:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God can take your messes to become a message, and turn your setbacks into trophies of His grace.

Mark 10:46-52 - Blind Bartimaeus was both poor and diseased. He was a beggar and he was blind.
The name "Timaeus" means "impure". Pastor Prince believes that Timaeus is the man who rebuilt the city of Jericho. "Bar" means "son".
There is no such thing as a health and wealth gospel, but the gospel produces Heath and wealth.
Jesus came to Jericho - He came to the place of the curse. The Ark of the Covenant came to Jericho again, this time in the true Substance.
The cry of Joshua caused the sun to stand still. This time, the cry of Bartimaeus caused the One who created the sun to stand still.
Bartimaeus threw his garment aside, showing that he was not coming back the same after meeting Jesus.
How did Bartimaeus know to look for Jesus? He heard about Jesus. Keep hearing about Jesus and listening to the word of God being preached.

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.” ‭(Mark‬ ‭10:46-52‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

2 October 2016 - The God That Rewards - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

This year marks 50 years of Jerusalem coming back as a nation after the "Six Day War (1967)".

5 is the number of grace and 7 is the number of perfection.

Next year marks the 500th year of the Reformation.

The Hebrew letters are numbers too. The letter/number 7 is "zayin" which is a picture of a sword, but it also represents sustenance or feeding.
We fight by feeding on God's word and God will bring about our victory.

We are living in dangerous times. The Bible says that the last days will be dangerous times.
However, Psalms 91 tells us that God protects His people. When you recite Psalms 91, you are unleashing powerful spiritual weapons.

Jesus Christ set us free once and for all, however we experience that freedom increasingly, step by step.

As Christians, we cannot be demon possessed. If the Holy Spirit is in you, He does not share that space with demons.
You can possibly be demon-oppressed from the outside (like feeling depressed), but you cannot have a demon inside you.

You can tell that you are thinking wrong through your emotions - example: when you feel depressed.
When a mother keeps on fearing for her child, there is wrong believing there. By worrying and fearing for your children, you are actually exposing them to danger.
Job said "the thing which I greatly feared has come upon me".
The very area you are fearful of is the very area you don't trust God in - You trust in the power of the enemy more than in God's protection.
Surrender that area that you are fearful of completely to God.

Faith is a walk with God.

Hebrews 11:5-6 - Enoch had a special arrangement with God as a friend so he did not die, but was 'raptured'.
There are three people in the Bible that are alive in their old body in heaven - Enoch, Moses and Elijah.
Moses and Elijah will preach to the world during the Great Tribulation and they will be allowed to die at the hands of the Antichrist and be resurrected in full view of the whole world.
When you give a gift to someone, it should be based on what the receiver likes and not based on what you like -
example: When you give a gift to your wife, give her flowers if she likes that, not your favourite tech gadgets!
You have to believe that God is a good God that wants to supply you with all your needs in your life.
There are some 'religious' Christians that believe that you cannot do things for rewards. This is wrong believing. God is a Rewarder!

By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Whatever you do, God gives you the grace to do it. Every good and perfect gift is from God.
Good gift examples: medicine, crops, water etc. Examples of perfect gifts: the gifts of the Holy Spirit and divine healing.

I Corinthians 15:9-10 - God will never tell you to do something that you don't have the desire to do. Grace comes with the desire to do it.
Even if you don't use the grace that is given to you, God is not hard up. He can always find someone else to replace you.
Somebody else will fill your spot and take your blessings and rewards.
How can a Christian Boss access the year-end bonus of his/her employees?
If one is using the grace that was given to him/her, fruits (positive results) will be produced as a result of using the grace.
The reason why some people experience burnout is because they are doing things that they are not meant to do and helping people they were not meant to help -
stay within and flow in the grace that God gives you.
If you use your youth for the Lord, He will renew your youth. If you use your time for God, He will multiply it back to you.
If you use your strength for the Lord, He will multiply your strength back to you!

“For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Luke 5:1-10 - When Jesus comes to your boat, He is setting you up for a blessing!
Peter was not fully obedient - Jesus said let down your NETS while Peter said that he would let down his net (singular).
God's vision for you is always greater than what you have for yourself. When you are praying for a job, God wants you to have a position!
God's supply is more than enough for you. He always over-answers our prayers. When you give something to Jesus, He will reward you. What you give is not from you anyways, it was a gift from Him in the first place!
God wants to bless you so much that you can be a blessing to others.
Under the New Covenant of grace, it is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance.
Pray for unbelievers (example: your colleagues) to be blessed and they will be led to repentance.

“So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”” ‭(‭Luke‬ ‭5:1-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Believing the truth will lead us to live a truthful lifestyle. It is wrong believing that leads one to live a sinful lifestyle.

Matthew 10:41-42 - When God gives rewards, He will find every excuse to bless you.
Even something as basic as giving a child a cup of cold water gets rewards heaped onto you.

“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭10:41-42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Ruth 2:9-12 - Ruth was a Moabite. Moab was located in present-day Jordan.
Before Ruth went to glean from the field, she told her mother-in-law that she would find favor in the eyes of the boss, and yet she asked Boaz that question.
Women, learn from her feminine wiles which drives men crazy (haha)!
We receive a full reward from going to God for protection.

“Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”” (‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:9-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God doesn't want separation between men and God. That is why the veil in the temple was torn in two after Jesus died at the cross.
God's heart is to reconcile Himself with man. God wants to bless you and supply all your needs!

The Hebrew word for "offering" which is "korban" means drawing near. God has already drawn near to you. He wants you to draw near to Him.

Hebrews 10:18-25 - The word for "new" here in Greek means "freshly killed".
It's as if Jesus just died for you just now. We got to live with that in mind.
We should talk to God everyday, all day long.
Tribulation builds character. God is loving you when you feel frustrated in a certain area of your life. He disciplines you because you are His child.
He doesn't discipline children that are not His own.

“Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” ‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭10:18-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Hebrews 11:24-27 - The word "endured" means "to remain the same". That's why Moses was still young and strong and his eyes were not abated even at 120 years of age.
Moses was motivated by the reward too! He looked to God. Look to Jesus as your Rewarder.
You can introduce a reward system to reward your children when they do well. Children are motivated by either avoiding punishment, or by receiving a reward.
Don't forget to tell your children that you love them regardless whether they are well-behaved or naughty.

“By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.” ‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭11:24-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

If you ask "Why, why, why" when you are experiencing a trial, it will lead you into a downward spiral into depression.

David said that his baby that was miscarried could not come back to him but that he will go to his child one day.
All children that are stillborn are all growing up in heaven. They are in a better place than us.

Always trust God for something better even when you experience loss.

Hebrews 10:35-36 - In the Christian life there is a place for endurance.

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:35-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Psalm 127:3-4 - A heritage has nothing to do with whether you did something good or bad. It is by grace.
Your children are both your blood-born rights to receive and also rewards.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭127:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

II Kings 4:8-17 - When you receive and take care of a prophet, you receive a prophet's reward.
There is power in the spoken blessing. When God wants to bless you He brings people to speak into your life.
When the devil wants to curse you he also brings people to speak into your life.

“Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.” And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there. Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him. And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.” So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.” So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!” But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.” (‭‭II Kings‬ ‭4:8-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Don't look to people for your reward. It will lead to disappointment. Look to God for your reward.
God doesn't discipline with accidents, sickness or disease, but He does allow for disappointments.
He is willing to risk being misunderstood by you to bring about something good for you and to love you.
God knows exactly when is the best time to reward you.

In the Book of Esther, one sleepless night for the king was all it took to turn things around for Mordecai and the Jews.
Wives, if you are worried about your husband being in an adulterous relationship, God can give your husband a sleepless night and all he can think about is how beautiful you are.
You can pray for your husband to be surrounded with a hedge of thorns to fend off other women.

Exodus 1:16-21 - Nothing good that you have done for the Lord is forgotten by Him.

“and he said, “When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive. So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?” And the midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.” Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.” (Exodus‬ ‭1:16-21‬ ‭NKJV‬)

I Samuel 2:18-21 - Hannah was barren for a long time, but the Lord heard her prayer and gave her a son.
Grace may be slow, but the blessing is sure. For giving Samuel to the Lord, God blessed Hannah with descendants.

“But Samuel ministered before the LORD, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod. Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “The LORD give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the LORD.” Then they would go to their own home. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the LORD.” (‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭2:18-21‬ ‭NKJV‬)

John 21:3-6 - Jesus gave the fish to the disciples.

“Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. ” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”‭‭ (John‬ ‭21:3-6‬ ‭NKJV‬)

John 21:9-10 - The resurrected Jesus made breakfast for His disciples!
Jesus likes to give you the credit - He asked for the disciples to bring the fish that they caught, when it was Him who gave it to them in the first place.
Jesus often said "Your faith has made you well."
When we receive divine healing, it is not by our own faith, but Jesus is the one who gives that faith to receive it to us.
Our God is so good that He rewards us when we give to Him what He gave to us in the first place!

“Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”” (‭‭John‬ ‭21:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
